Sparkle Sparkle~ Faces Sparkle Dust- 256 "Frolic" Review

Hi all! Today I'm going to be reviewing something very pretty! Oh so pretty~~ *Ahem* Yes.. It's the Faces Sparkledust Stackable in Frolic.

I've always wanted to try pigments but I didn't want to spend a lot on something like MAC Melon (which I really want! ;n;) just to realise i would never use it.. So I decided to buy some inexpensive pigments, see what I feel about them and then get more. So I decided to buy one of the Faces Stackable Sparkledusts. You get these in individul jars too but I wanted some variety. LOL!

Facts about Faces: Faces is a brand from Canada, they were established in 1974 and their pricing is amazing! Took them long enough to come to India. -__-

Price: These are around 549 INR but I got them for 466 in Beauty center Khar.

Packaging: The entire package looks like this.

You can get these in sets of 5 or 8.
The packaging is nice but I feel like the plastic is too flimsy and brittle. So, i'm always afraid that it's gonna break. :/
I like that being a stack, its easy to carry and all that but it is annoying to screw and unscrew each jar, plus there are more chances of it falling, considering the high center of gravity. *adjusts faux geek glasses*

The jars aren't big, they probably hold one and a half teaspoon of pigment, but I like the fact that they are small. Otherwise you get a huge jar and it never gets over!

The Colours: The pigments are VERY shimmery, each and every one of them! I'm not a fan of shimmer but I don't mind it here and there. Problem is when you want to use them dry, they cause a lot of fallout (as all pigments would.) So even if you clean them off, a bit of the shimmer remains. >.<
You have to wear your foundation aftr you use these or use a tissue for fallout.

The colours look brilliant used wet although I find the green and blue a bit too similar. There are quite a few of these sets and they all have some colours that coincide, so search a bit and find ones with unique colours.

Red: Has gold shimmers, very dark

Has blue(ish) shimmers, not my favourite!

Pink: my favourite! Has purple and pink shimmer

Blue/ Teal: Another favourite! has gold shimmer, gives it a multidimensional quality.

White duochrome: Shines pink and gold according to the light.
Swatches: *click for larger images*

Isn't that white so pretty with its gold and pink duo goodness! *o*

EOTD:

Not my best EOTD! Sorry... ;n;
I used the white in the inner corner, blue in the center and pink on the outer v. I also used NYC jumbo pencil in Milk, Bourjois Clubbing Contour pencil in "Blue Remix" and Colossal kajal an mascara. :3

Overall:
I feel that this is a good buy for someone who wants to try pigments like I did. I just wish the plastic was less brittle and they had a few no shimmer colours, but then they really wouldn't be "sparkle dust." As I said, I'm not big on the shimmer. LOL!

EDIT: My SkincareRx giftcard giveaway is now closed, i'll be announcing the winner in a couple of days! Good luck everyone! ^-^

Manicure Monday: You are My Sunshine! ~

Hellooo everyone! I'm in a really perky mood today! ^-^ Although I should probably be sitting in my corner of shame because I officially broke my makeup buying ban.

I went to Beauty Center to pick up some hair bleach and developer and I *tried* to avoid the NYX counter, which btw is right at the entrance of the store.. SO, you can't avoid it! Foul temptress!!
Anyway I tried to be strong! I tried not to buy anything.. BUT they had the Girls Nail polishes for only 120, they usually cost 150-200! Well, there goes my will power!

I ended up picking up:
L-R: NYX Xtreme Lip Cream in Buttery Nude (I'm in love!),
Gilded Glitter, Dark Grey and My Sunshine ^^
I think I'm just going to be buying my NYX stuff from Beauty Center, with the rupee being the way it is, this is probably cheaper now! Not to mention I got a free eye pencil, this time in brown! Hehe!

I used My Sunshine to do my manicure today! I love this yellow! It's not in your face but still cheerful.
My sister said it looks like mustard, I thought of mangoes, my grandma said egg yolks! LOL! Whatever it is, it's pretty! ^-^
I cut my nails recently so they look pretty short in the pictures!

The colour doesn't show up right in pictures, the colour is slightly more orange.. Think egg yolks and mangoes as I said. :>
The colour dries fast and goes opaque in 2-3 coats. Plus no bubbles! Oh joy!

Hope you liked my manicure for today! Do you like yellow nail polish?
LOL! I just realised i used yellow two times in a row for Manicure Monday! >w<

Btw, hope you liked the cute emoticons! I have a lot of them saved in my PC and thought, eh, why not? :D

Rant: I'm in Comment Hell!

I'm sure a lot of you know that Intense Debate has been giving me a lot of trouble. It hides comments, reverts back to the Blogger comments, in which case it appears like I have no comments on my posts at all! The frustrating thing is that all the comments are safe on my dashboard but don't show on my blog!

I feel horrible that some of you check back and find comments missing and will feel like I deleted them for some reason. Well, I didn't! I love all your comments so much, I reply to each one ( unless I miss any by mistake.)
The day before yesterday, I woke up to see no comments whatsoever! All my posts read "0."

I still tried to re-install ID and make it work but no dice. The comments now showed the right number of comments but they were ALL STILL MISSING!

That was the last straw, I looked up some solutions and found none.. I was surprised that a lot of people were having similar issues. The only thing I thought of at that moment was to just change over to another system. I chose Disqus.

So far, I've only used it for 7 hours but I'm loving it already. It let me import my precious comments so I don't have to start from scratch. :) I also love how it automatically took up the font colours from my new theme!

I'm going to miss ID, especially CommentLuv, I enjoyed reading all your posts through it. But this is for the better. :)
Even if Disqus doesn't have CommentLuv, feel free to leave your blog address with your comments, I love to find new blogs everyday!

I've read a lot of forums with this problem, its been happening for years! I'm surprised they haven't managed a fix yet! Knowing how important comments are to bloggers, this is just not done!

Anyway, thanks for reading my very long rant! I've been having this issue for months now and I'm glad I don't have to deal with it anymore!
If ID's been giving you similar problems, I would love to hear it.. I'll be resuming beauty blogging posts in the evening so stay tuned. :P

Hide It All!: BH Cosmetics 10 Color Camouflage Concealer Review

I'm not even going to try and hide the fact that concealer is the most important part of my makeup! I have such angry skin, it's constantly turning red in weird places, my veins decide to come up to the surface and say hi.. It is just URGH!

So, I looked it up on Coastal Scents and they were having a sale, but for some reason I couldn't login. :( Then I found out  BH Cosmetics was having a sale too and had this palette for 11$! I knew I must have it! (Btw it's on sale right now!) :D

Now, you're thinking.. "Erm.. Ten colours? WHAI?"
Believe me, I do use them! Most of them, at least. How? I'll tell ya! Keep reading. ;) Plus I can use them on all my friends, my sister has used it too!

When I ordered this palette it reached me within 25 days, what I really loved about the package is that there was no bubble wrap and no thermacol, everything was packed in special brown paper packing material! I wish I had a picture, it was pretty cool!
I ordered the palette as well as a concealer brush. I wish they had sent a little sample like Coastal Scents does, I love free stuff! LOL! Does it show? D:

The box itself is plastic, truthfully it feels a bit delicate and cheap but then for 11$, I ain't complainin'!
My colour is a mix of the second on top and below.

As you can see there are a lot of different tones and shades to choose from. From pinks to golden and from pale to dark. :)
The colours are very creamy and blendable AND the colour pay off is amazing! It covers blemishes and dark circles and a little goes a long way!

They stay on for hours without rubbing off. AWESOME! Especially in Mumbai humidity! ;n;
There is one thing that irks me though and that's the smell! It smells like oil! Seriously, just OIL! *blech* I have to hold my breath while I use this, if it wasn't so good, I never would use it!

With flash

Without flash

I love this concealer palette! Seriously, except for the smell, I have no complaints!
I was so scared because of the oily smell that it would break me out but it didn't happen. :D It also never got cakey or settled into pores and lines.

Ok, you're probably wondering how I use *most* of these colours right? So I'll tell you.. Apart from the actual concealers, I use the top 3 as blushes. LOL! Yes.. They make AMAZING cream blushes! So pigmented! I especially love the coral pink colour in the center! ^u^

Coverage:
I usually take the concealer with the brush, pat it on and then blend with my ring finger.
Le eww..

Work in progress (I used too much! >.<)

Ta-da!

Not bad at all right? :D
So in the end I just wanna say, this is a great concealer palette with a lot of functions (for me at least!) and I would definitely buy it again if I run out. BUT GODDAMMIT BH COSMETICS! THE SMELL!
Rating: ♥♥♥♥

Would you buy this palette or do you already have it? Thoughts? :D

Edit: I never asked, how do you guys like my new header and theme? :D Silleh me!

3 Ways I use Coloured Eye Pencils

Ok, I've been a really lame-o and haven't posted in two days! I SORRY! *sobs* I have two posts today, so I hope that makes up for it!
Being an eye makeup junkie, I tend to hoard a lot of colour eye pencils. I.e. any colour but black.. The problem is, I barely ever use them as eye pencils, I usually end up using them as bases for eyeshadows and use my black pencil as liner.
So I decided recently that I would use them more as liners... But I nun wanna give up my black pencil! ;n;
So, like every Indian I "adjust" and follow the middle path. So, here is what I do:

Today's post was brought you by Bourjois Clubbing eye pencil in "Blue Remix." (Not really, I just used the colour in all my looks. :P)

1. Over the black winged liner:

This is a very simple look, I'm sure most of you use too! I just draw a thick blue winged liner and cover the lower half of it with black liner. I find that colour pencils unless they are very dark don't give the kind of definition black does. So this is a good way around it. :)

2. Giving the black dimension:

find that when I place the blue in the center of the lower and upper lash line, and use black at the sides, it gives it an amazing 3d effect! What do you think?

3. A touch of colour:

This method is really easy! I still managed to mess it up here though! -____- I use this when I'm in a hurry but still want some colour on my eyes. I outline my eyes in black and just on the inner corners put a touch of the coloured liner.

Hope you enjoyed my 3 ways to coloured liners! How do you like to wear coloured liners? Do you feel they don't define your eyes as much as black?

Speaking of eyes, I am now an affiliate with UNIQSO, a super nice circle lens store! I've always wanted to try circle lenses! Hopefully I will soon. :D
They're having a 20% off site wide for this month! And they also carry some Etude House eye makeup and  an interesting nail polish collection that is friendly to the skin and comes off without remover! *o*

Check out their site by clicking the banner below or in the side bar!.

Kpop Time! 4 Minute goes Indian? :D

I'm sure a lot of you know my love for Kpop! Today, I saw this epic video by a girl band called 4 Minute. They did a parody of one of their songs, called "Volume Up." This is a must watch! I love how their Hindi is almost spot on! They could make a big break in India with this, don't you think? LOL!

Btw, I really don't think this is racist, it's for fun.. So don't take it seriously! ;)

Here's the original video with subs!

Enjoy! ^^

Tag: What's in My Purse? ^u^

I've wanted to do this post for a loooong time now. I've seen other bloggers do it and truthfully, my purse looks like nothing compared to theirs. I guess I just don't carry that much stuff. :/ I tried a different funny way to go about this, I mean what's the point of me just naming things right? I hope you enjoy!
Let's get to it!

This is my favourite purse by the way, I got it on sale at Accessorize a few months ago and I love it! ♥

Let's poke our heads inside, shall we? :P

Clockwise from left:

My Homing Wallet: My absolutely favourite Cath Kidston wallet! It actually did home back to me.. It got stolen on the bus from my purse and I didn't even know! I got a call a few hours later from a kid, that he had founf it and I got it back! How lucky is that? Nothing was missing except the little change I had. So sometimes, we should have faith in humanity!

Bath and Body Works "Bones" Hand Sanitizer: Mmmm.. Smells like vanilla and coconut! Plus adorable crossbones on the bottle! Did I just type adorable crossbones?... O_o

Fresh Ones: Because you never know when a bird's gonna poop on you and you have to clean it off! LOL!

My iPod Nano: Cannot live without my K-pop! Especially in a boring bus. -__-

My Nokia X5 cell phone: I don't call people, people call me! No, I'm not being a beeyotch.. I just never have any balance! LOL!

Lotus Sunscreen: Because that yummy roasting smell is probably me in the sun without it!

Bath and Body Works "Sweet Pea" Body Splash: Love this! Covers up the oogiest body odours! I'm almost done with this bottle but I have another waiting. ;)

My Makeup Pouch: Gotta have that! Here's what's inside THAT!

Basicare Blotting Tissue: Because I'm an oil well and they help!

Maybelline Colossal Kajal: Love this kajal! No more "I've cried a thousand tears-emo-raccoon" face!

Maybelline Dream Matte Powder: As I said, oil well.. So, I'm trying this out! Review soon. ^^

Facewash: I usually carry around a small face wash, right now it's this Jovees grapeseed something I got as a sample.. Review soon!

Lipstick and Lipbalm: Could be any lipstick! I just picked NYX's Addis Ababa soft matte lip cream for the photo because.. Bright packaging! =D I carry the Lipice lipbalm EVERYWHERE! It's a lifesaver!

Maybelline BB cream: Because it helps my skin transform from "been dead for a week" to "Oh-la-la."

That's it girls! All that is in my purse, just add a water bottle and I'm good to go!

Ooh! I almost forgot! Check out this cute cellphone charm my sister got me! She says since I blog about makeup, it fit the bill! What do you think? ^-^

I would love to see y'all try this tag! It is really fun! :D Helped me clean my purse out a bit too! LOL!

Hope you enjoyed it!
