K-Pop Girl Bands I'm Loving this Week!

I don't put up much K-pop here usually because not a lot of people are interested in it. I didn't listen to girl bands that much, except say 2NE1, T-ara and a bit of SNSD. But recently, I'm loving the image K-Pop girls are adopting. From all the cutesy "aegyo-ness", now their adapting a really awesome badass look! I'm just going to post some recent videos here, some from newer bands! i hope you'll enjoy! Be warned, K-Pop can have you humming tunes for day and you'll get addicted. ;)

This is a new band called EvoL, I'm in love with their song! We are a bit different.. People keep saying they're like 2NE1.. Honestly, I don't know! I mean, it isn't like 2NE1 invented swag! LOL!

Next video is also by a new band called D-Unit, it's called "Missing You." These girls look so young! I don't know much about them except their video needs more views! :D

Then there has to be 2NE1! I love these chicks! This is their new song "I Love You." It's slower than their usual but if you want a real girl power type song, listen to the video after that BAMBARATATATA! I mean.. "I'm the Best."

The Wonder Girls recently did a new song with Akon called "Like Money." I was shocked to see it on VH1! It's completey in English and playing on loop on my iPod!

T-ara after their controversies are FINALLY back! I missed them! I can't wait for this song to release, it's the teaser to SEXY LOVE! :D

I know their image is cute but I love their songs! Especially Lovey Dovey ZOMBIE VERSION!!!

That's all I think! If you don't like any of these, there's always GANGNAM STYLE! O-o-o-OPPA Gangnam Style!

Thanks for stopping by! ♥

Circle Lens Review: Geo Big Grang Grang "Brown"

Yes, another circle lens review... But I promise you, you will love this one! I SWEAR! These lenses are amazeballs! (Did I just say that? >.>') I've been wanting to try these since they came into the market a few months ago! I'm talking about the Geo Big Grang Grang Brown lenses, they were kindly sponsored by Eyecandylens.com
Thank you Eyecandylens!

I like to call them, "Geuraang Geuraang." That's what it says on the bottles in Korean okay? Seriously! It's 그랑 그랑.. People keep wondering what it means, well it means Grand Grand in Korean, and boy are they aptly named! (I'm going to stop showing off my sad Korean reading skills and get back to the review now. LOL!)

The Grang Grang series comes in 2 colour types, Brown and a darker one called Choco. I wanted to try brown because they seemed a little more obvious than Choco. These lenses come in two sizes, 14.2mm and 15mm. The ones I'm reviewing are 15mm but for a more natural look 14.2 mm is perfect. ^-^

Lenses from Eyecandylens took a little over a week to get to me from Hong Kong and everything was well packed in bubble wrapped packaging. They're customer service is quite polite and efficient. :)
Inside, there was a  lens case, a care pamphlet and the lenses. I do wish the lens case was cuter. :(

What I really liked about Eyecandylens is that everything is well branded! The box with the lenses has their name on it and even the pamphlet that they've sent is *I think* published by them! They have all their info on it so it makes them very memorable! ^-^

The pamphlet is very well written and thorough and the little illustrations are adorable!

Like with all Geo lenses, these have authentication codes as well. :)
Now, review time!
In the case, notice the "B." For Big maybe?

 Design: ♥♥♥♥
The Grang Grang lenses claim to give you, "Glittering Eyes like a Barbie Doll." Oh man, I wonder if they know how right they are! Yes, with flash you can totally SEE them but in the natural light, they look like MY eyes but better (is that a thing?)! >w< I wonder if this effect happens in the 14.2 mm as well but with these, it looks like little crystals glittering in your eye. :D They make my eyes look alive and fresh! I know I'm gushing, they're just that awesome, so let me! Even though in the photos I'm wearing slightly heavy liner, you can wear them with minimal makeup and get away with it!
They have no black, just shades of brown, so they look very natural, the best way to describe them is, "They're like push up bras for your eyes!

Comfort: ♥♥♥♥
Comfort was the usual 5-6 hours without issues. They were a bit difficult to put in but that is mostly because of the size. Otherwise no issues. I've worn these for 7+ hours with mild dryness which is expected from a big size.

Enlargement: ♥♥♥
Even though, obviously at 15mm, these ARE big in size, because of natural the design and colour is, they don't look obviously big like my Burst design ones. I don't have a problem with that but I know there are some people out there who might. :/ I personally love the effect they have. Big but not alien!

Overall:
If you want glittering, natural looking brown lenses BUY these! After these expire, I'm definitely buying another pair! Everyday I wish my eyes actually looked like THIS! LOL! They are perfect for enhancing brown eyes. I wear them everywhere! Even more than my beloved Kitten Eye Green lenses.
For a darker version, go for Choco but Grang Grang are a must have! No wonder they're so popular!

You can buy these lenses HERE

and if you use my code :

"BEAUTYANDTHECHEAP"

you'll get a free gift with purchase! ^-^

And now for le pic spam! My makeup is a bit heavier today and there was zero natural light because of the rain. >.< But I hope you still get an idea of how pretty these lenses are!
(Btw I'm wearing MAC's Lasting Sensation lip pencil that I got last week with my new fave See Sheer lipstick on my lips. ♥ Pooja from IBC are you reading! LOL! Buy it!)

LOL! Had to edit my sister out of the background. XD

Peace out!

Yay! Review done! Now I can derp! :P No actually I think I'll go to bed.. So sleepy!
Hope you enjoyed the review and that all the pics didn't crash your computer or brain! LOL!
Thanks for stopping by!

Accessorize and MAC Reel Sexy Shopping + EOTD

Hai gaiz! LOL! This post is actually from last week but my scumbag camera card died on me and I ended up  having to take pics twice. -__- I lost some pics from a review too so had to them all over! GAH!

Anyway, last week I was really low because I lost my pet mouse and my fish too. :( I lost my mouse in the most gruesome way, something, probably a rat got in and mauled it. Not a pretty sight. ;n;
Since I was all mopey my sister and I decided on some retail therapy.

Accessorize was still having a sale. 70% off! Woohoo! There wasn't much left but I did pick up a pair of sunglasses and a bow ring (the same bow ring that didn't fit last time, except this one was pink! LOL!) The ring wasn't on sale though. :(

I picked these because no matter what colour my hair is they will match! ;)
LOL! Sorry for the crappy cellphone camera pic, memory card issues. X(

Purdy!

I had been waiting eagerly for the Reel Sexy collection by MAC to release in India! I wanted the Reel Sexy lipstick SOOO BAD! I have a dupe for Watch Me Simmer so i didn't pick that up but Reel Sexy I wanted!

I called the MAC close to me and they were sold out in a day! LOL! I was so pissed! >:( But then the other store which was a bit further away still had it! I RAN! LOL! It was a much bigger store than the other one but it was totally empty. :/ Strange.. Anyway, good for me! I was amazed at the fact that when I asked for THE Reel Sexy lipstick, none of the MUAs knew there was a lipstick named that! LOL! They kept asking me which one I wanted. -__-

I'm in LAUUVE with this lipstick, when I first saw it in April since then I've been lemming it! It's a peachy milky coral colour and it makes me look a bit tan but not in a bad way. :D It makes me think of summer and peaches!
I only have one problem, that is that the corners of my lips are a bit darker wherease the center is pink, so the colour looked uneven. T^T But I loved the colour, it looked so pretty! :( So, my sister found a lip liner and I was in love all over again! I'll probably be buying the lip liner again and again, it's called "Lasting Sensation." *u* It's such a lovely orange coral, my friend Eda says it's a lip pencil version of Vegas Volt. :D

Sorry about the tired looking photo,
I'm wearing both lip liner (on the corners and edges) and lipstick here. :)
I'll put up swatches for both tomorrow but if you want something from Reel Sexy, RUN! It is selling out fast!

In other news, a dear friend friend of mine, Eda started her own blog. :) You should totally check it out and follow her! She is really good with eye makeup and she'll be starting tutorials soon. :D Her blog is called Sweeda Beauty, check it out now! Go! Go! Go! ;)
She has a YT channel  too but it's more than just makeup, you can check that out too if you like. :)

That's all for now! I'll be back later with another circle lens review, a tutorial and some nail art this week! Bye!

Edit: Ooops almost forgot my EOTD! It's a double liner and some pink and green shadow. :) Sorry again about the cell phone pics! :( Bye!

Review: Sleek i-Divine 2012 Limited Edition (Glory) Palette

Remember I had won Sleek's Facebook giveaway and won their Limited Edition Collection? :D Well, I actually wanted to keep it closed and locked away because it was so pretty! I still haven't used the blush or pout polish! LOL! But I thought I should do a review on these soon since it is a LE collection and maybe some of you might like to buy it before it's gone. :) So, I hope this review helps you decide whether you want to get the i-Divine Glory palette! This is my first Sleek eyeshadow palette, so I hope I can do this review some justice. LOL!

Description: The 2012 collection i-Divine in Glory is jam packed with colours that will pop on all skin tones. The top row of the palette consists of highly pigmented shimmering gold, bronze and silver shades, with a contrasting bottom row featuring rich primary hues such as deep blue, yellow and red. Choose from 12 London underground inspired shade names, such as ‘Victoria’, ‘Central’, and ‘Circle’!

Price: The price of the Glory palette is 9.99$, a good price to pay for a 12 colour palette. :)

Packaging: The entire collection came in a black box with pretty pink paper inside and was very well packed, you can check out the packaging here.
The palette itself was in the colourful box below. I love the actual palette's packing, it is really well... Sleek!

The only thing that irks me, but is also kinda a good thing, is that the palette is hard to open. I've got it now but initially I chipped my polish a lot! LOL! But at least the palette won't just open in your bag!
The size is as big as my hand, I expected it to be bigger after seeing a lot of reviews but I'm not disappointed in any way. :)

Quality: Can you say AMAZING?! The Glory Palette colours are richly pigmented and all but two are shimmery. What I really like about this palette is there is a good balance between neutrals and brights. For someone who doesn't want too much makeup and a few choice shades for most occassions, this is perfect!

All the names!

All the shades are London and Olympic based. The first four in the top row remind me of the medals where as the others are based of the colours of various London underground lines. :) I also feel there maybe inspiration taken from the Olympic rings. But I might just be going into it a bit too much! LOL!

The Colours:

Top Row:
Tube: Champagne gold
Overground: Beige with silver shimmer
Bakerloo: Bronze
Jubilee: Silver
Platform (matte): Grey
Northern: Black with blue shimmer
Bottom Row:
District: Teal geen
Hammersmith and City: Pinky red
Piccadilly: Dark navy
Circle: Egg yolk yellow
Victoria: Bright blue
Central (matte): Scarlet red

I find all of them to pig brilliantly pigmented except for Platform, which you will see in the swatches, barely shows up. The staying power is good! With primer they last for 6-7 hours on oily lids, although lighter colours like the yellow look darker later. :/

Swatches:
The swatches are without any base, that gap in the middle of the top row is actually the swatch for Platform! LOL! These look great with a white base but also work well with a normal primer.

Overall:
A lovely combo of neutrals and brights, great to travel with because of the variety of colours! The quality is brilliant, except for Platform which was very disappointing. :( I feel like it's a small piece of Olympic makeup memorabilia, and a good palette to have especially at the price. Sadly they don't ship these to my US girls but maybe get a friend from across the pond to buy one for you?
I'm in love with Sleek now! Before I had tried only their lipstick, Coral Reef which I had bought in a blogsale but now I'm hooked! I already received my second palette! LOL! The Acid palette!

I really want to thank Sleek for picking me as a winner, I got to try their amazing products!

I did a look with this palette but it isn't as crazy as usual, I wasn't in a mad mood! >.< I'll try a few more later and post them. I used only Tube, Bakerloo, District and Nothern for this look.

My Life with Braces: Week 1

I thought I would do a post series on my braces because at 23, you don't see a lot of people with them! LOL! I feel that by writing these posts, maybe I can help those who are getting braces see what they will go through and just give some insight.

Also,  have a lot of complaining to do! Haha!

So, I never really had bad teeth. Maybe a cavity or two here and there but nothing major. Till two years ago I didn't even need braces! I still don't have really bad teeth, like some people might have.. No underbite or overbite.. No teeth competing for space. What my teeth have developed over the last few years is a bunch of gaps!

I can't find a picture of before, so this is a proxy! I will find one next time! :)

I don't know when they started coming in but they did. My mum just noticed one day and we decided to go have it looked at. The dentist suggested wires for 6-10 months or something called "Smile Design" which basically requires root canals and veneers. So obviously, I was like NO! Braces please!!

Lucky for me, I didn't have to get any teeth removed because I had gaps, didn't need more! LOL!

First the doc got a mold of my jaw(s?) I was legit freaked out because of much mouth stretching. X( but that got over soon!
So, last week, after many cancelled appointments, I finally went in for the braces. I got ceramic braces, they are much less noticeable than metal but are much more expensive. :(
The procedure was long but not very painful. I felt some pain only when he was trying to fix the metal bands (that hold the wire) around my molars... That actually, still hurts! ;n;
The doctor mentioned that even though I had a nice smile, you can see how crooked it is actually by following the wire. :/
Sorry about naked lips! ;A;

That night I was more or less fine but woke up next morning to a swollen face and very sensitive painful teeth! I couldn't even brush properly! URGH! I had sooo many painkillers those first 3-4 days..
It won't be just the teeth that hurt, oh no! I cut my inner cheek on the metal band and my tongue too!
Thankfully, these sores won't last long and as your mouth gets accustomed to braces, it won't hurt at all! :D

I don't have the rubber band but just a diagram of what's going on..

But my teeth! Oh. My. GOD! They are a different story. My front two teeth still hurt as does my left molar! Now, this pain varies with everyone. It lasts from 2-3 days to a week.. Mine has gone beyond a week now! *sobs*

Eating is still hard and believe me, you need to stock up on soups, ice cream, jelly, pudding and instant noodles for nourishment but slowly you can build up. I can eat rice and dal fairly easily now and some veggies too if they are soft and well cooked. Pasta is a good option! It took me an hour to just eat the first week but I've gone up to 30 minutes! LOL!

If you're Indian like me, you probably have turmeric in your food... That can discolour your ligatures (those are the little bands holding the wire to the brackets.) So try to get silver or coloured ligatures rather than white or clear.. I have clear ones and now they look yellow! D: Caffiene can do this too btw!

You might lose some weight too! In 4 days I had lost 6 pounds! D: Good thing, but scary when it is so drastic!
You WILL miss crunchy food! I miss my potato chips and fried bombil (Bombay duck) but just remind yourself it's all for the greater good! I'm seeing a difference already!
I still purdy? *hopeful* =D

Hopefully, I'll manage small potato chip pieces soon but not yet.. Lets see if I manage next week! I hope I didn't bore you! Thanks for reading. :)

Circle Lens Review: GEO Xtra - WCO244 Brown (a.k.a Burst Series)

Hey everyone! I have another circle lens review for you. I'm telling you I am in love with circle lenses and these are definitely becoming one of my faves! I have so many pics of these, so your internet connection might hate me! LOL! But this review was a lot of fun to do.

Also, please don't hate on me for the Photoshop, I had a little fun. ;)
These lenses are GEO Xtra - WCO244 Brown (a.k.a Burst Series) and they were very sweetly sponsored by Uniqso!
Thank you Uniqso! >3< ♥

These lenses had a trip around the world, it seems because they took a whole month to get to me! I've purchased from Uniqso before and it only took a week.Lord knows what happened here!LOL!
Lee Lee, the owner of Uniqso, is very sweet and was all ready to send out another pair before my tracking number magically updated. ^-^

The package arrived safely but was beaten up. Luckily everything inside was in pristine condition. The packaging of Uniqso is the cutest I have ever seen! Just adorable! ♥ You get a lens case and the lenses come in this cute bear box. ^-^

I love how all the bears have names and jobs! :D

*drumroll*

Like with all GEO lenses, these came with a scratch off authentication code, so you know what you're buying, is the real deal!

On to the review!

In the case

Design: ♥♥♥♥
The design of these lenses is very simple but effective. The colour practically merges into my eye colour, unless flash is used. But what really makes these lenses interesting is the "burst" pattern on the limbal ring. Hence the name...
The black ring gives these lenses a lot of enlargement and being 15 mm anyway, they look HUGE! The pattern adds a lot of depth to the eyes. I suggest that if you want to buy these lenses, go for the same colour as your eyes, they really enhance them and give a dolly like effect. ^u^
I give it 4 stars because without makeup I look coked up. >_< Makeup is a must with these babies!

Comfort: ♥♥♥♥
The comfort was good! I wore them for 5-6 hours without problems, after that my eyes got a bit dry and blurry bu nothing eye drops can't fix. They're very thin so you don't feel them! They tend to collapse on themselves when you wear them, so that can be a bit awkward but no real problems at all. :D

Enlargement: ♥♥♥♥
The enlargement on these things is INSANE! My eyes look mega huge and doll like. Plus the depth they add, adds to the enlargement effect.

Overall:
I LOVE THEM! :D My sister kept making fun of me because of how big they looked, so at first I was afraid to wear them out doors. But with some makeup, they look stunning! Even my boyfriend complimented me saying, even though they look a bit unnatural, they're really pretty! Maybe a bit too much enlargement for me, but I'll get used to it. ^-^

Here are some pictures I took with them on. I love how they instantly make me FEEL cuter and all innocent like, which is not usually me! All CLs do that to me! >.< These make my eyes look all sparkly! NO PHOTOSHOP on the lenses! Pinky swear!
 Me so KAWAII! LOL!

I love my Apple ring. >w<

If you're wondering why all my background is blacked out, you can see in the next picture, why. Look at the mess on my bed!!! GAH! T^T
I can has duckface? LOL!
Messy room is messy. Ignore it with duckface.

Shhh... This is my secret...

LOL! I just had too! After seeing the logo and the motto, I HAD to take this pic! :D It is just so APT and girly! >w<

If you want to buy circle lenses, head on over to Uniqso! I promise you great customer service and variety. I especially love how fair their Returns and exchange policy is! ^-^  Besides they have a lot of offers going on especially on Geo Xtra because it's their anniversary! Woohoo!
To buy the lenses I'm wearing go HERE.

I hope you enjoyed my review and that I didn't kill you with all the weird cuteness! :3
In other news: My hair is back to pink, I like it better this way! What do you think?
And I have soooo many tutorials to do! GAH! *shoots self* I hope you will forgive me for my lateness! Especially Coral Crue, she's asked me for a few that I haven't gotten to. :( I feel bad! But I'll do them as soon as I can! PROMISE! ^-^
