SXUC "Kylie" Sunglasses from Sunglasses Shop: Review and Giveaway!

Hey girls and guys! I have a fun review and giveaway for you today!
I don't know how many of you know but I have a sunnies obsession, I have at least 10- 12 pairs by now, everything from big brands to ones you can buy from the street shops. I love them!

So when Sunglasses Shop kindly sent me over this lovely cat-eye, tortoise shell pair called Kylie from the brand SXUC, I was over the moon!
What's more, they've even offered to giveaway a pair of SXUC glasses to one lucky winner!

About Sunglasses Shop:
Sunglasses Shop is UK's largest online retailer of sunglasses. It's customers are from all walks of life and you can get sunglasses from the best bargains to the best luxury brands, from Rayban sunglasses to Prada, D&G and Chanel!
My sunglasses were shipped to me the very next day of choosing them and reached me within a fortnight. ^_^

They were quite well packed in brown cardboard and plastic but missing a case for the sunglasses, that was my only complaint. >.<

About SXUC:
"Sometimes you just like the colours. Sometimes you don’t want to spend a fortune and sometimes you just want a pair for the car. And so SXUC was born. SXUC started life in 2000, bringing inexpensive but well-designed products to the sunglasses world. Designed with one thing in mind - that sunglasses should be fun, SXUC is constantly changing styles, helping to bring to life the best in designer ideas at a fraction of the cost. But with all the same protection."

Price:
All SXUC frames are 20 GBP. ^_^

The Kylie sunglasses have become an instant fave of mine! I've been looking for a pair of sunglasses that have a retro feel to them with the cat eye shape and tortoise shell design, although these have more of a leopard print, which I still love!

The Kylie sunnies have a cute stone detail on the side, you can't really see it when they're on, but it's a cute touch! And I absolutely love the colour of the lens, the purple- grey gradient adds a nice touch!

These sunnies have UV400 protection to keep your delicate eyes and eye area safe, this is a very important factor one must look out for when buying sunglasses! ^_^

SXUC sunglasses are go-to for people who want style and want to keep up with the trends but don't want to spend a lot of moolah on them! I recommend checking out Sunglasses Shop for more SXUC sunglasses and many other brands!

Sunglasses Shop is kindly giving away one pair of SXUC designer sunglasses to one lucky Beauty and the Cheap reader! Just fill out the Rafflecopter below and cross your fingers! ^_^
Good luck guys!

Maybelline Super Stay 14 Hr Lipstick Review!

The amount of food you eat is directly proportional to how long your lipstick stays on. True story.
I love my food and I love my lipstick and during a long day out, my lipstick WILL fade to nothing thanks to all the burgers, chinese, pizza, pasta I consume. Now I'm hungry again... ;n;

So, obviously when I heard about the Super Stay lipsticks, I was first in line to give them a go, although not first in line to review them... Thank you busy schedule!

Now, if you are a sucker, you will be disappointed at the 14 hours claim but if you are realistic, you are going to love their staying power! Anyway, on to what I think about these lipsticks!

I'm reviewing two colours today, one is a great spring colour, my favourite, CORAL! The colour is called Stay with me Coral. The other is a great colour for fall or winter or best if you love dark colours, it is called Wine and Forever.

Price:
Rs. 525 for 3.3g

Packaging:
I really love the packaging of these lipsticks as compared to Maybelline's older lipsticks. The coloured tube makes it really easy to find them in my collection!

The bullet itself is narrow and tapering at the end making it easier to control how far the lipstick should go on your lips. ^_^

Smell and Texture:
The Super Stay lipsticks have a slightly odd texture, it is sticky and doesn't move easily once applied. I guess that is the number one factor that makes these lipsticks "Super Stay!" They are also quite matte in texture so you do need a lip balm underneath. The smell is like a synthetic berry smell. Not something I mind as it is pleasant and eventually does fade.

Colours:

Wine and Forever

Wine and Forever, like the name says is a dark brownish plum colour. It's a great shade for winter or an everyday colour for women who love their brown lipsticks! I look pretty Goth with it on, so it isn't my fave choice of shade but I would love to use it on special looks!

Wine and Forever being a dark colour covered up my pigmented lips quite well and also stayed mostly put through a heavy meal.

Overall, not my kind of shade but definitely has great staying power thanks to the formula and the dark colour!

Stay with Me Coral

Stay with Me Coral is a pretty pretty pretty colour! Seeing as it is CORAL, it is obvious I would pick it up! It is a lovely pink based coral, it doesn't last as long as Wine and Forever through heavy meals but lasts through normal snacking. Still, this is a shade I can see myself wearing all through summer!

Stay with Me Coral doesn't have the strong pigmentation that the darker shade has, so it took a few swipes to get the colour even over my pigmented top lip. If you have super dark lips, think about using a lip liner under this shade. Overall, a great shade, just a bit weak on the pigmentation front, so you need a few swipes to get it right.

Performance:
So, lasting power of the Super Stay lipsticks is definitely not 14 hours unless you don't plan to eat for that amount of time, in which case, get some help, you might have an eating disorder. O__o
The lipsticks will last however, through light snacking or full meals depending on the shade.
I had Wine and Forever last over 6 hours with eating and Stay with Me Coral was still on but a faded version of itself after the same amount of time.

So, I think these lipsticks are definitely a boon to the working girl who has no time to check her makeup all the time and definitely great for a forever hungry girl like me!
These lipsticks aren't very good for professional use because the sticky texture will ruin your lip brushes but for personal use, I highly recommend them!
I already picked up another called Infinitely Fuchsia and will definitely be looking at more!

What do you think about the new Superstay lipsticks?

My First Vellvette Box January 2013: Regrets were never so randomly selected

I sooo don't want to do this review. Guh. But if I don't the Rs. 399 I paid for this Vellvette Box will have been wasted. I was expecting some, at least one great thing in this box, I got none! And I hate writing bad reviews. But I have to rant! >.<
I've been watching others get their Vellvette boxes since September and I've always put off buying them because I feel like what if I get something I don't like, money wasted. Aaaand that's what happened. *sobs*

I was expecting better things in the first box of the year. Pfft... Here's what I got:

Benefit's Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow foundation samples
Lancome Gentle Face and Eye makeup remover
Nyassa Belgian Chocolate Sugar Scrub

I know it sounds like a good box but I was really not impressed.

Out of the three samples, I'm happiest with the Benefit foundation, I've been wanting to try it for some time and both of these are close to my skin tone BUT I hate blister packaging and these are too small for me to get an idea of whether I will actually like them. Plus, I'm sure if you walk into a store they will hand you samples this size for free.
So, I'm glad I can try it but still not exactly happy.

I was pretty excited to try this out too because Lancome would have awesome quality! But when I did try it, I realised it isn't more than a weaker version of any cleansing lotion. It didn't remove my foundation or eye makeup. Well, at least it smelled good. -__-

This was the biggest disappointment in my box! Not because it's a bad product, I haven't even tried it yet... Problem is, I don't have the nose to.
The Nyassa BELGIAN CHOCOLATE sugar scrub should smell like GODDAMN CHOCOLATE right?
I took a whiff of this and almost gagged. I smell chocolate sure but it smells like chocolate mixed with weird smelling oils and fragrances and then left out in the sun!
I was expecting rich, creamy CHOCOLATE.

You do not mess with a woman's chocolate! >__<

So yeah, haven't used that yet! Don't plan to...

So in conclusion, my first ever Vellvette box sucked butt, even though I had filled in my survey to include colour makeup, I didn't get any. I got a foundation sample that I'm halfway happy with and two other thing, one that doesn't work and the other that I can't use because it smells so bad!

VELLVETTE BOX Y U DO?

Sorry about my rant and negativity... I hope my February box is better!
Have you got your Vellvette box? Are you happy with it (unlike me?)
