Pores Begone!: BRTC Enzyme Refining Face Wash Review

This review's been due for so so long! But as you guys know, I've been busy with my class assessments and photo shoots and barely had time to write at all.
So, this review kept getting delayed for more than a month! >.<
Although I am really sorry about that, all that time gave me a chance to thoroughly try out this product and give it a detailed review. ^_^
Especially since we've had the craziest weather here, from cold and dry to hot and humid, I got to try this cleanser out in both climates.
The product of course is BRTC's Enzyme Refining face wash, a mild cleanser for hyper sensitive and irritated skin.
Thank you BRTC for sending me this product for review. :D

About BRTC:
BRTC stands for Bio Remedies Therapeutic Cosmetics. It is a Korean company certified by the KFDA and is compliant with FDA rules. They say that they are Korea’s premium brand of botanical skincare and medical grade of BB Creams.  I can totally see why. Their innovative Science meets Nature ingredients have really blown me away.

BRTC Enzyme Refining Face wash is great for:

Ingredients:

Price:
$29 for 40g

Packaging:
A simple white flip top bottle in a blue cardboard box. Like other BRTC products the packaging is quite serious looking and professional unlike most Korean brands that go for the cute look.

Smell and Texture:

The cleanser is not a liquid, rather a white powder with orange and blue granules. At first I was fascinated at how much it looked like detergent! >.<
But eventually you get used to the feel of it. And no it is not like detergent at all! LOL!
All you have to do to get it working is mix with water and create a foam, the granules do dissolve. Which you can then apply and wash off or clean off with a sponge.
Be careful that you don't get any water in the bottle, you will ruin it because it activates with water!

The smell is sweet and a bit medicinal but quite pleasant. It wears off after a while, so that's good for sensitive noses.

Efficiacy:
My skin's gone through a lot recently because of crazy weather and crazy schedules. It's gone from dry to oily in a day but because I've been using the Enzyme wash everyday, at least I haven't had any break outs!

Effect on Pores (Immediate)

On oily skin
On a normal Mumbai day, my skin gets so oily, you could fry an egg on my face but thanks to BRTC's Enzyme Refining face wash, it has been MUCH better!
Not only is my skin less shiny, pores are much smaller and my skin remains oil free for longer!
Plus, I haven't seen a break-out for a long long time! *knocks on wood*
My pores are always big and gaping, the face wash won't permanently zap them into oblivion but at least I can have well behaved pores for a while!

On dry skin
My skin is a bit sensitive and goes red easily, this becomes much worse when it's dry.
The face wash didn't help me much during my dry skin days. It did do everything it said on the box, from oil control to controlling blemishes but because of the oil control my skin got even drier. I needed quite a bit of moisturiser!
EDIT: For dry skin, BRTC suggests using the cleanser only 1-3 days in a week, this will help it not get drier but you will still see results! So if you have dry skin, you don't need to be afraid of using it. :)
 Overall:
So I would say, on dry skin be cautious while using this product, you might make your skin drier. But if you have oily skin, this cleanser is great!
If you have oily skin with big pores, you'll want to try out the BRTC Golden Caviar BB cream after you use the face wash, it really helps in making the pores look non existent! ^_^

Overall, the Enzyme Refining Face Wash is a great cleanser! Especially for oily skin. The price seems a bit steep but I've used it for over a month and barely used up any. Beside no pimples is always a win win! >w<

Would you try the BRTC Enzyme Refining Face Wash? Share your thoughts! ^_^

Orange Eye Liner? Yes Please!: Maybelline Hyper Glossy Runway Pop Liquid Liner Review

Hey everyone, remember me? I haven't written in a long while and I missed blogging and you all SO much! *Hugs monitor*
Well, I'm definitely back to my normal blogging schedule from today considering my last photo shoot was yesterday and I have just a week left for my makeup classes to end! I can't believe it's been two months already. D:
My last photo shoot was so much fun! I did a runway look based on Roy Lichtenstein's "dotty" pop art. And the same day that I had my shoot, the Maybelline's Hyper Glossy Runway Pop Liquid Liner (phew) was delivered to me. ^_^
Considering I was still in a pop art daze, I went crazy with the liner right away! The colour especially was amazing, a colour I have never seen on a liner, ORANGE!! Orange eyeliner! Oh yeah!!

I fell in love with the shade as soon as I saw it. It's called Tangerine Orange. Maybelline, kudos to you!

 Price:
No idea, they didn't send it to me in the PR but the normal black one is around Rs.225. (Hope this won't be more! *fingers crossed*)

Packaging:
The packaging is exactly like the original black Hyper Glossy liner. A sleek and black body with a long handle for added control, the lettering is in the colour of the product inside, so Tangerine Orange obviously has bright orange print.
The handle also has POP written on it and the brush is a normal bristle brush rather than felt tip, which I prefer to use. ^_^

Colour:
These liners come in three trendy colours, Electric Teal (don't you just love that name?), Khaki and Tangerine Orange.
Tangerine Orange is a bright orange, almost neon! It has a small amount of gold shimmer in it which doesn't really distract from the colour, rather it catches the light and adds more dimension to the orange.

Performance:
This liner is really opaque, no layering required. I could even use it on black but it would still look vivid and bright!
Once applied, this liner will not budge till you remove it with makeup remover. I know for a fact that the Hyper Glossy black wasn't water proof, which is why I didn't buy it, this one on the other hand is water proof as well as smudge proof. I like it when my liners come with insurance. ;)

Another thing I was worried about was flaking, a lot of glossy liquid liners tend to flake on me but this one didn't! Whoopdidoo! >w<

EOTD:

I tried using this liner in every way possible solely because I was fascinated by the colour.

LOOK 1

I used Sleek's Acid palette for the eye shadow and added black gel liner. I went over the black with Tangerine Orange, leaving some space on the edges to make it stand out more. I just popped on a dramatic pair of lashes for finishing touches. ^_^

LOOK 2

This look was inspired by Illamasqua's speckled liner look for their Imperfaction collection. I used black liquid liner as a base and dotted on the Tangerine Orange and black till I had a nice stippled effect.
I also used the liner on my lower lashes as mascara to see whether it would show up and it did!
You can use this liner as coloured mascara too! :D

Maybelline has really made a winning product and I want to try all three. I wish they had more colours, like white, purple, yellow!
I recommend that everyone try these liners for a fun "runway worthy" look!  Of course not everyone loves orange, you can play it safe but stylish with teal and khaki too! ^_^

I'm really glad I got to try this liner! I have only one question now...
Does it glow in the dark? :D

What do you think of the new Hyper Glossy liners? Would you wear orange liner

Let me know in the comments! I promise I'll reply. :) I feel bad not having replied to so many. I'm very sorry, I was just so busy! I will go through them all though. >.<

Thanks for reading!

Solone Eyeshadow Palette #02 Golden Green Review

Hello children! How is everyone doing? No, I really want to know! I've been so busy, barely any time for you guys or le old blog!  I had my first makeup photo shoot, last week and we had to create a glamorous neutral look and my model looked AMAZING! And it was mostly thanks to the eye shadow palette I'm going to review today.

The palette is by a Taiwanese brand called Solone and was sent to me by KKCenterHk for review!
Thank you once again KKCenterHk! ^_^

 Price:
$18.30 for 14g.

Packaging:

Solone's eye shadow palette comes in a pretty black and pink cardboard box. The palette itself has a glossy black finish and holographic lettering, I find it quite hypnotic! Lol! The glossiness of the case makes for a lot of finger prints though!

The palette houses 10 eye shadows in an array of beautiful shades although, like the name suggests, most of the shades fall under the gold or green category.

The package reminds me of a smaller version of the Sleek i-Divines. Just 2 colours short and with square shadows. Both have a similar mirror and sponge tip applicator.

I love that it is small and convenient to carry!

Colours and Swatches:

There are ten colours in all, all frosty and shimmery. That is a small complaint I have with this palette, that there are no matte shades, although all the shades are beautiful, well pigmented and silky soft. The shimmer is not chunky at all.

 Top row:
Pale gold- Love this for highlighting
Coral/ Gold duo chrome- A fave of mine, looks a lot like Expensive Pink by MAC
Turquoise- A beautiful gold/ blue duo chrome
Purple- A metallic purple/ silver colour
Navy blue- One of the disappointing shades, as compared to the others. Usable but it's a bit chalky.

Bottom row:
Mint- Yay! A mint eyeshadow! I've always wanted one! Lol! Looks silver in the swatch though. >.<
Gold- A nice, proper gold! Lovely, especially for bridal or Indian looks.
Green- Olive/ gold colour, another great Indian look colour.
Silver- Not a fan of silver shadow but an amazingly pigmented shadow.
Gunmetal Grey- I wish this was a black. :( I would love a shimmery black! Weak like the navy blue.

So save the last two shades, all of these colours are great! Together they make a versatile palette, from everyday shades, bridal colours, to smokey party colours, this is a very usable palette that can be travelled with!

On my Eyes:
Sorry about my horribly messy brows!

Using the coral and purple

Using the navy blue, green, blue and golds
Even though the price is a bit steep, I would recommend this palette, it has lovely colours that actually deliver!

If you would like to buy the Solone 10 eye shadow palette, do check out KKCenterHk!
They have many more you can choose from too, from single shadows to palettes with 100s of colours! ^_^
Thanks for reading!
