Last Year's Last Haul + This Year so far ^_^

Hello pretties! I've been a wanderer these past few days, mostly wandering through department stores and malls that is. I've had a lot of visitors and guests coming down to Bombay and my cousin especially new to the city wanted to shop! Bless her soul! Lol! Because of her my last week of December till today has consisted of nothing but acquiring stuff. Be it makeup, clothes or bags. I haven't included everything I bought, mostly the makeup! 

I am going to show you some exciting non-makeup purchases I made though! :D

First let me show you some of the awesome makeup I picked up last week!

So the first things I picked up were Jordana's powder blush in Cocoa, it's a very dark brownish plum, something I don't own at all! I also got one of their glitter polishes in Lunar Lights. This shade is so beautiful, I have to review it for you guys soon! The last thing from Jordana was their Color Tint Blush Stick in Coral Touch, it's such a pretty shade, my mom tells me it looks "wholesome" and that I look apple cheeked! >u<

Next were a whole bunch of NYX lip pencils. Okay, by a bunch I mean five. Hehe.. Still a lot of lip pencils right? The colours I got were Coral, Pinky, Auburn, Plum and Nude Pink. Yes, I plan on using each one!

Then I got a Maybelline Baby Lips Color Lip balm in Cherry Kiss. This was actually for my sister because she always wears lipbalm, never lipstick and sometimes they look really white and pale on her. >.<

Next up is MAC! I got their Viva Glam I. It's a very versatile brick red and my second Viva Glam after Nicki. I wanted to get So Chaud or Lady anger too! But Lady Danger was sold out and So Chaud looked like I had been chewing paan for a majority of my life. ;n;

That sucked because I LOVED the swatch of So Chaud! WHAIII?! x.x

Last up! *Gasps* A brush? Yup! I bought a QVS bronzer brush to do my powder with. It is amazingly good quality! Very soft and dense. ^w^

I also got a new phone on the last day of December and this cute Cambridge satchel from Jabong! :D

Now for today's small haul:

I picked up The Body Shop's Strawberry Body Puree lotion! I loved the Satsuma version because it was really cooling but the smell was way too strong for me. But strawberry, I like. >w<

I also got a Revlon lip butter in Raspberry Pie, I'm still on the fence about these but meh, giving it another shot! I also picked up this smexxeh red lipstick called HOT HOT HOT! from the Colorbar counter. 

Damn straight it's hot... :P

Lastly, much food was bought! I got oyster mushrooms from Dolce Vita but sadly they aren't pictured because I had to dump them. They were INFESTED! Can you believe it??

But I'm still happy with my Pixy Stix! YAY PIXY STIX! I can't believe I found these! Loved them as a kid. *noms on all the pure sugar.*

I also got a pack of noodles from Nong Shim, it's a Korean brand, they have amazing noodles! Including all kinds of veggies, even seaweed!

And the last thing I wanna show you today is my hair! I changed it to red again but because it was pink before it looks more like a raspberry colour. I lurves it!

And the best bit for last, I'm pleased to announce I'm officially off braces! Most of them anyway. I have 4 teeth still bracketed and attached with rubber bands which I tend to swallow or have them whack the inside of my mouth BUT still happy to have a pretty smile! ♥

Yes my face looks huge here. So does everyone's when they mile like this ya know! Lol!

Last Haul(s) for May

Ugh.. My name is Nisha and I'm a cosmetoholic.. Sigh.. Seriously guys, I have a problem. ;A;
I realised, all the stuff I got just in the last week amounts to so much that most women would probably consider having JUST that much a normal amount of makeup.. But then I guess I spend my money so you don't have to spend yours! LOL! Not a good save.. >_<

First, I went to Beauty Center, I went alone and went a little crazy, I think if I had some voice of reason along with me, my wallet would have been happier.. I had actually gone just to pick up stuff for my giveaway. Argh!

• Jordana Extra Garlic Basecoat- My nails have been yellowing due to a lack of base coat, so I picked this up. No, it doesn't smell of garlic.. LOL! Can you imagine that?
• NYX Girls Polish "Frizz Spots"- I love this shade! It's holo hex and small glitters in a black jelly base. HOW I CAN SAY NO? ;A;
• Colorbar Exclusive polish (white)- I needed a GOOD white nail polish, all the ones I get seem to have the smell and consistency of pen corrector white ink.  -__-
• Faces Stackable Pigments "Frolic"- Total impluse buy, I just wanted to try pigments. *sigh* At least they're good! I used these here and here.
• VOV pigment "shimmery black?"- Also on impluse! It was 75 Rupees ok? You say no. :P
• NYX Cream Blush "Natural"- I just happened to love the way this blended and looked. :D
• NYX long eye pencil "Blue"- This was a free gift at the NYX counter. :)

Btw, Beauty Center has The NYX Extreme Lipcreams for just 380! Can you believe that? I wonder why the Matte Lip creams were 600?? I didn't buy any though.. I'm surprised I didn't buy any lipstick this time! LOL!

Then I went to this other place, I forget the name.. i think it's called Beauty Forever? It's a shop on Pali Market road, if anyone knows the name please tell me. I forgot kekeke... 

They have China Glaze polishes and they sell them for at least 100-150 Rs less than what you see on sites. :D

• Vega eyeshadow blender brush and blush brush- I actually planned to get brushes from The Body hop but with all the spending I had been doing I decided to stick with these. As you know I have a total of 3 brushes, these two make it five. :D I'm glad I got these, they seem to be pretty damn good!
• China Glaze polish "Yellow Polka Dot Bikini"- I loved this colour! At first sight, I fell for it while it was searing its image into my retinas! I used it already for this Monday manicure.
• HipHop nail polish remover pads- I picked them up out of curiosity. I love that they give tweezers with them. :D

This was just some stuff I bought online, I got the Nivea Refreshing Cleansing Milk for makeup removal, the one I had before was barely half empty but I had to throw it away because it had crossed the expiry date. :(
I wanted to get Colorbar's Peachy Rose blush asap, I think they will be discontinued soon, I didn't see any at Beauty Center. :( Just some VERY expensive lip pencils!
The Bourjois Ombre Stretch Eyeshadow I picked up because I really wanted a blue like that. So pretty! I was surprised by the size though, it always looks so big in pictures! LOL!

My best friend was sweet enough to buy me this Maybelline stuff from the USA. I had asked her for The Dream Bouncy Blush in Coral Candy and Baby Lips lipbalm in Cherry Me! I can't wait to review these! :D

I walked into The Body Shop a few days ago with le boyfriend. I wasn't going to pick up anything but I was pretty impressed by this Oil Free Balancing Foundation. I got it in 05. I got my exact shade thanks to the boyfriend, otherwise I would have walked out with a 04 (too light) or a 06 (too orange).. Even the SA was a guy and he said 05. LOL! Men are good at this! What really throws me off personally is yellow lighting!

WHY DO MAKEUP STORES HAVE YELLOW LIGHTING?? It defeats the purpose of getting the right shade of anything! Grrrr.. *grits teeth* At least I got this right. -__-

Anyway, so that was my haul post! Tell me i you've tried any of these products, are there any you want to try? Does yellow lighting make you angry too?? LOL! Tell me I'm not the only one please! :D

The Lazy Girl's Guide to Smokey Eyes!

If any of you girls out there are like me, you love to laze around and procrastinate.. Well, what happens when we procrastinate too long for say, getting ready for a party? We end up screwing up our make up, BIG TIME!

So, here's a trick I use for smokey party make-up when I've wasted too much time napping or just don't feel like putting in as much effort as I would in getting ready BUT still want to look like I have! *evil laugh*

Awesome, eh? EH??

So here's what you need:

1. Black eyeliner pencil (I used Max Factor)
2. Any shimmery shadow (I used the wine colour from Jordana Sultry Eyes Quad)
3. Mascara (optional, I usually use HyperCurl by Maybelline)

Step 1: If you have the time, prep- prime your eyes, apply the black pencil all over your eye lid, don't go beyond the crease, don't forget to line your lash line and waterline. Then before the pencil sets, blend it out to your crease still keeping the colour solid near the lashes.

Messy doesn't matter at this point.

I just use a disposable blender to blend it out.

Step 2: Take the shimmery shadow and pat it on all over the lid, then blend out towards the brow. Sweep it on the lower lid too! Put on some mascara if required.

Pat it on the eyelid area, then sweep to blend upwards.

AND DONE!! What? You don't believe me?? Really! Done... LOOK:

It took me 10 minutes to do one eye with taking pictures. I did my other eye too, took around 3-4 minutes..
I used another shadow to show you guys. :)

Inspired Nail Art

Hey guys, this is going to be a short post, I've been swimming in work and haven't slept in 2 days, I'm at that stage of sleepless-ness where I start believing I'm some kind of flying hippo or that the voices in my head want me to eat a bottle of ketchup.

Anyway, yesterday, in my free time I was going through an awesome and popular nail art blog called Cosmetic Cupcake and I found some great designs, so I decided to try one of them.
This is the original design here.

And this is what I did.

I realise mine isn't as finished, I didn't have the same tools and my cuticles look like I've been sifting sand everyday in the past week but I think I did good. :D

Here's what I used:

I used Elle 18 nail pops "26" on my thumb and ring finger. Colorama black polish on my index and pinky fingers. VOV knock-off white on my middle finger.
I used the center design from M36 Konad plate over the white, with Colorama Roxo Metalico put a few silver dots with NYX's nail art polish and put white dots with a nail art pen.
On my ring finger I used Jordana pop art striper polish in The Painter (pink sparkles) all over the nail.
And the last step I used Faces Sparkles polish over all my nails.
