The Year that was: 2012 Round up!

Ah, posting after a long time! Feels good. ^_^ This post had to go up, it was all the things this year has been for me makeup wise!
It's a big mash up of things but I hope you enjoy it anyway!

First of all let me wish you a HAPPY NEW YEAR! Sweety wants to wish you too! Sweety was Spartacus/ Handsome the turtle but ever since we found out out he would rather be a she, she's Sweety now! XD

Okay, now lets start with the year that was!

For me 2012 was all about the Corals, Oranges and Peaches! The whole spectrum! Check out:
Coral/ Orange lipsticks:

There are so many more that I haven't even reviewed! I mean look at that heap in the picture. Lol! But that's what 2013 is for right?

2012 was the year of the London Olympics and the first time I won a giveaway, this one was by Sleek Makeup to win their 2012 collection!

I used a lot of Korean makeup this year! And loved all of it. I still have some from my last haul to try.
What I tried so far:

The Year I did Something for a Good Cause
I used my makeup to show the world what women go through in India. This was for a one minute movie by Sophia College girls for Population First- Laadli

Now for my 2012 Favourite Products!

I loved a lot of eye makeup products this year but these were just amazing! A cut above the rest.
Yanqina's pen eyeliner gave me so much precision, Faces Eye Magic Transforming gel was a perfect primer! Coastal Scents 88 palette gave me a world of colour to experiment with initially and the Maybelline Color Tattoos made awesome bases for my eye looks.

I have created quite a collection of lip makeup but some products just blew me away! Colorbar's Velvet Matte lipsticks come in such an array of colours and are so affordable!
2012 was the year I picked up my first MAC lipstick, that was Viva Glam Nicki... Now I have 4 of them! They're just amazing! See Sheer being my fave and Viva Glam 1 my newest addition, yesterday!
And last but not the least the Fresh Cherry Lip Tint by Etude House is the perfect product for when you don't want lipstick but still want colour!

There were some nail paints I used consistently in 2012 and they were mostly NYX polishes. My absolute favourite go to polish being NYX Surf. I wore it with polka dots and glitter polish and all kinds of other ways! I wore NYX Hot Coral a lot too, my fave was this look with gold sequins. ^_^
I finally found flakie polishes in NYX, this is Pink Avenue!
My fave red polish was Ulta 3's Pepper Pot, perfect for my skin. NYX Multi Glitter was my fave glitter polish especially over pastels and whites with Innisfree's Libra taking over that spot as soon as I tried it on another favourite, Miss Claire's hot pink!

And those were my favourite products of the year 2012! Hope you liked it, be sure that I will bring you more awesome reviews and tutorials in the coming year!
I'm sorry this post seems a bit rushed... It is. >.<
Anyway, Happy New Year all! Enjoy and be safe! See you next year.

Smokey Green and Silver: Xmas Party Eye Makeup

Hey everyone, I've been MIA for a while haven't I? :/ Sorry 'bout that! I've been insanely caught up with family matters. All my relatives are over for the holidays and I barely have any time for anything.

This tutorial though I had to get up as soon as I could, considering Christmas and New Years is just around the corner! I had initially made a video tutorial but a lot of the video got corrupted. >.<
So, after sobbing into my pillow for 20 minutes, i decided to make my usual photo tutorial instead! I hope it's easy to follow and that you guys like it! ^_^

What I used:
BH Cosmetic Concealer palette
Faces Transforming Eye gel as primer
Maybelline Color Tattoo in Edgy Emerald
Black eye pencil (Colossal Kajal)
L'Oreal Infallible Eyeshadow in Flashback Silver
Coastal Scents 88 palette for silver, brown and black shadow, any other brand is also fine. :)
Bourjois Clubbing liquid black liner
Max Factor 24 Hour False Lash Effect Mascara

Step 1:
Prime your lids and apply concealer to your under eyes. I also apply a lighter concealer over my brow bone for a highlight.

Step 2:
Next apply a natural crease colour before starting with the main shadows, this will give a smooth transition of colours.

Step 3:
Apply the Edgy Emerald Color Tattoo on the inner two thirds of the eyelid. You can use any green or turquoise shadow for this.

Step 4:
On the outer one third, upto the crease, fill in the black eye pencil as shown below and smudge it slightly.

Step 5:
Use black shadow to set the black pencil and draw up the black on the outer V.

Step 6:
With the black pencil again draw a line under the lower lash line like shown below. Smudge it up into the V.

Step 7:
Work the Flashback Silver or any silver shadow into the inner corner of the eye, going down into the lower lid as well as blending into the green on the upper lid.

Step 8:
Apply black liner pencil into the water line, a slightly winged liner and apply mascara!

You are done! ^_^

I hope this tutorial is useful for you guys! I'll try and do another New Years tutorial soon!
I would like to know though, if you prefer these picture tutorials or would you prefer I make a video like I had initially planned for this one?
Thanks for reading!

For Sparkling Eyes: LINGMEL Shiny Eyeliner in #6

Hello my pretties! *cackles*
*coughs* Sorry about that... Lol!
I got the computer ALL to myself! Muahaha! So i thought I would give y'all a new review!

I've always been obsessed with what are called "tear drop" liners. I've been thinking of getting the one by Etude but i think I may have found something better! ^_^
The ever so awesome KKCenterHk sent me a white pearl liner called LINGMEL Shiny eyeliner in #6 and I've been using it in all kinds of ways! I must say, I may be a bit in love with it! :D

Thank you KKCenterHk!

Price:
USD$ 8.00

Packaging:

Absolutely brilliant! This little eye liner comes in a round bottle with a really long brush handle. The brush is the one with the tiny hairs, not felt (that sounded weird...) It gives you nice precise lines, thick or thin.
The handle holds the awesome part though, the top of it has a small black pencil liner!
Smart right? Dual purpose for sure! >w<

Smell and Texture:
Okay, if you're wondering why I'm mentioning smell here, it is because this stuff smells amazing! I have never used an eyeliner that smells so good! Usually they just smell funky but this one has a lovely floral scent. ^_^

The texture is slightly grainy because of the glitter but it doesn't really affect the performance in any way. I find though that the liquid is a bit difficult to get on the brush. I don't know why that is but I have to shake it every time I dip the brush to get it out. >.<
The black liner is very soft and you have to use it quite carefully! But even with a very light touch, it comes out really ebony black!

Colour and Performance:

The colour obviously from the pics is a pearly white, you apply it two three times and it looks more silver.
The liner tends to crack a bit if you layer it too much.
The black liner does smudge a bit but doesn't come off completely or give you panda eyes. It's quite effective especially if you're travelling!

I get 4-5 hours with the black liner, around 3 on the waterline. The white liner lasts really long, the whole night if you don't rub it too hard!

I use this liner usually on my inner corners to highlight, I just apply a little and then smudge it, then put some more. But for the review I decided to go full on and use it as a proper liner.
I hope my crazy look doesn't scare you! ;)
I used the liner on my top lid as well as the inner corners of my eye. I used 3-4 layers to get the opacity. ^_^
I'm using the black liner as well on my waterline and smudged on the lower lid.

I would definitely buy this liner! It is a great help on the go to not only highlight inner corners of the eye but also for the black pencil liner that does hold its own compared to more expensive brands. ^_^

Hope you enjoyed this review! To buy the liner in white and other colours like Pink/Green/Blue/Golden Yellow/Pale Purple go to

See you again sooon!~

Product sent for review, my opinion is completely honest and my own.

Pretty Polish Review: Innisfree Glitter Polish "107- Libra"

Hey everyone, I am so sorry for being a bum and not updating more often! My sister's writing an important paper for college and needs the computer most of the time. >.<
So, I thought I would do a short review since I got a little time between her working and me being an obsessed viewer of 2 Broke Girls. Lol! ave you watched that show? EPIC! XD

Anyway, I'm reviewing a polish that I recently got in my Korea Depart haul! It's by a brand known for being natural and caring of the environment, named after Yeat's famous poem etc etc.. It's called Innisfree.
Recently my nails have been breaking a lot and I haven't been wearing much polish but this polish is. so. pretty. I had to use it as soon as I could! Check it out!
It's from the Starsign range, I believe this one is 107 "Libra."

Price:
$2.34 at Korea Depart

Packaging:
This is one of those typical cylindrical bottles,  like the cap because it has a matte finish rather than glossy, so no finger prints! Yay! And the label looks like it's been made out of recycled paper, very cute and rustic!

Performance:
This baby lasts well over 4 days with no chips with a good top coat. I find that glitter polishes don't last long without it anyway. -__- They tend to snag on things.

Btw, my nails have a bit of tip wear because I took the pics on Day 4! Sorry about that. >.>

Swatch:
The glitters are stunning and literally glow in the light! There are multi-glitters, hexagons, round, stripes, you name it! They are predominately blue or green but there are also gold, orange, and my favourite, the pretty purple squares! ^_^

The polish goes on smooth and isn't gloopy (so far.) I always have problems with glitter polish going gloopy on the brush!
I'm wearing 2 coats over a Miss Claire polish in E58, I applied Jordana's Quick shine top coat on it after.

Hope you enjoyed my short-short review! Definitely try this polish if you love glitters, it's cheap and absolutely stunning!

I will try to do more reviews like this one for a while till the PC is more free! >.<
Till then, do check out my latest giveaway!
