Blue Eyes~~ Maybelline Colossal Turquoise Review

I don't think I'm the only one who is kind of, sort of bothered by the number of blue eye pencils available on the market. Am I?
I wish brands would come up with a nice nude shade for my waterline or a funky burgundy ( I got one btw, will review it soon! ^_~) An orange maybe! AW YISS! But nope, blues, aquas, and teals everywhere!
I've become jaded by them, no pun intended... Wait jade is a green... Nevermind! -__-

Anyway, the new Colossal Turquoise showed up at my door a couple of weeks ago and I went on a tiny rant in my head about, "Wow another blue, really? I wonder how they thought up of that..." Then I opened the packaging and I swatched it. Then I begrudgingly decided to shut the eff up!
Why? Because this new Colossal Turquoise pencil by Maybelline is GAWJUS!
Let me explain...

Price & Packaging:
Firstly the price is great, I have no problems shelling out Rs.250 for a coloured eye pencil, hell, I'd shell out more if the colour deserved it! The packaging too is lovely, very similar to the original Colossal kajal but has a bunch of blue jazz going on that is quite snazzy! *_*
The pencil itself comes in a twist up form, so no fuss about sharpening but I wouldn't put it in my kit because it would be unhygienic to use on a lot of people without sharpening.

Colour:
Okay, it's BLUE! I'm done with blue but i just loved this shade! It's obviously a turquoise or aqua shade as is mentioned on the front of the box but it also has a lovely gold sheen and a bit of shimmer that adds a great dimension to the plain ol' blue and also makes it much more flattering on Indian skintones.

Longevity and Texture:
I have a teeny complaint about the texture of the Colossal Turquoise and that is that it is a bit hard and drags a bit. Once it is warmed up, it glides on really well but I ended up breaking a chunk of it off trying to draw on a line without knowing it would be dry. Heating it up on the back of your hand helps greatly though!

The time the pencil lasts on my oil slicked lids is quite impressive! It lasts from anywhere to 4-6 hours in the heat! Which is something I can be satisfied with in my oily, humid conditions!

I did the looks below with the black and Turquoise Colossals...

Overall:
The shade of the Colossal Turquoise just reminded me that I may have a little space in my heart for a unique blue eye liner, the price is great and it's so easy to use! I may be over blue liners but this is definitely not your average blue liner!
I see this colour becoming quite popular with girls who would love to experiment with their liner! A great shade to have I think!

Have you tried the new Colossal Turquoise Kohl? Love it or hate it? Comment below!

Surviving the Summer: Nivea Whitening Sensitive Deodorant Review

Hey guys! Remember me? Lol! No? Nevermind. I'm just going to update this blog as much as I possibly can.
Today I have a review for you, except it isn't my review, it is actually by my sister Saloni, she volunteered to be a guinea pig for this Nivea deo because I'm allergic to Nivea deos in general.

Okay, that doesn't mean that they're bad, you can be allergic to anything, be it chemical or natural and sadly enough I have very messed up skin that insists on being allergic to most things, hence, Saloni has tried out the new Nivea Whitening Sensitive deodorant, that promises fairness for sensitive underarms.
Okay, let's go!

Price:
Rs. 199 MRP

Packaging:
The packaging is typical of Nivea deodorants, a white metal bottle with a nice soothing colour scheme of light blue and aqua. The nozzle is also one that you see on most deo bottles these day. Simple and effective.

What it promises:

Fragrance:
The deo has a lovely fragrance, it is floral and very old school, like an old Yardley perfume or talc.
The fragrance is pretty long lasting (unless you’re under really hot and humid conditions like a 3 hour traffic jam in Andheri in May). And it does keep the stink away. ^_^
As a person who spends their entire day in an air-conditioned office except the commuting time, I have to spend the entire day in close quarters with co-workers , in the train, everyone is in closed quarters.  >.>
And as everyone knows- ACs can amplify any smell.
So this stuff is pretty good for most scenarios.

Sensitive Skin Friendly:
You know that feeling when you absentmindedly spray deodorant on your underarms after shaving or waxing and you swear that generations from now, they can still hear your pained screams? Well that definitely DOES NOT happen with this deo! It really is caring towards sensitive skin with no burning or tingling, I guess it is because of its 0% alcohol content!
And yes, it is actually better than the normal variety of Nivea Whitening deos.
HUZZAH! >w<

Fairness Factor:
Okay, I don't know whether it is psychological or for real but I do feel like my underarms have become fairer. Not significantly but more like they're going back to their normal colour and not being all dark and gross looking like they usually are.
Also when you apply the Nivea deo, wait for a couple of minutes for it to dry a bit and then wear your clothes, this ensures the most effectiveness. Don't know why but it works!

Overall this is a great deo, it comes at an affordable price and does what is is supposed to. Plus no burning is just a BIG bonus, especially in this insane heat.
Just remember to carry body mist with you anyway for long days because you gonna need that, it's the middle of MAY people! Deo or no deo! Good luck, it IS an Indian summer!

Well, will you be trying Nivea's Whitening Deodorant for Sensitive Skin?
