Curly hair without heat? Hmm...

So I tried something for fun a few days ago, I was in the mood for some curls in my hair, usually it is pretty straight with a few waves at the ends..
I don't have a curling iron so I tried the flat iron.. FAIL! I really don't know how people manage that. LOL! My hair looked bent and wonky.. >_<

So, I tried another method, without heat, all you need is an old t-shirt or sock and a scissor.

  • Cut out strips from the cloth till you have at least 12-18, I have no idea how well this works on really long hair btw, I have hair past my shoulder blades.
  • So, anyway, once the strips are done, spritz your hair with water till it's damp not soaking.
  • Next, section your hair and roll in the strips from the ends upwards and knot them, try not to knot the hair btw, getting it out is no fun. :/
  • Sleep on it! It's comfy enough. :)

Excuse the duck face, 2 in the morning does funny things to me. LOL!

Yes, I look like a very mentally unstable Chun Li. -__-' But basically, it should look kinda like that. ^

And in ze morning, remove the strips and you shall have this:
Hello Puffy Morning Face: I look like a poodle! ;A;
 I got nice tight curls but I think I look funny. :/ I don't think I'm used to poofy hair. The boyfriend thought it was cute. D: He's too nice.

So, here's my verdict: This is definitely a fun way to curl your hair if you're going for a REALLY curly look. I found it a bit unpredictable too. If you want beachy waves try this:

OR buy a curling iron, as I shall soon.. -__-

By midday, I had washed out the curls and was back to my normal self:
*Breathes sigh of relief*
Seriously guise... Curling iron...
