Manicure Monday: Matte Moon Manicure with Tutorial!

So many 'M's in that title! Lol! So, girls I have a question for you! What does my manicure and a paper punch have in common?

These Things!
I don't know what they're called exactly but they're these stickers that you put around a punched hole on paper, so that the paper doesn't tear when you handle it in a binder. Amazing! @_@ Someone, please tell me what they are called!

My sister had a bunch of these so I decided to "borrow" some of them and try doing a moon manicure with them as guides! You can use french manicure tip guides, I guess but I go for the cheap and readily available! ^-^'

I cut them into halves so they would be easier to use.

Then I painted the lower half of my nails pink. You can cover the entire nail but I didn't want to make it too thick, so i did only half.

Then I waited for them to dry *not long enough*! Make sure you let them dry completely otherwise the guides will stick on and when you remove them, the polish will come off too. :(

LOL! They reminded me of handlebar mustaches! It HAD to be done!
Then I painted on the black. *very messily* Apparently, i have no hand- eye co-ordination anymore!

Need to bring out the q-tips and acetone! STAT!
I was going to leave it at this but the black was just not happening in shiny mode. So, I went matte on just the black. :)
And this is the end result:

DUN-DUNA_DONE!
Here's all of the polishes I used:
Essie Matte Finisher, Maybelline Colorama Black, MIKI pink (no name), Sally Hansen top coat

So, what do you think? Will you be stationery shopping for your nail art needs anytime soon? :)
