Remember I told y'all how I got to do the makeup for a short film. It wasn't a big deal, but it was so much fun! My sister had taken part in a short film workshop and all the groups had to make movies about problems faced by women in India.
The people who had organised it were from the
NGO Laadli, and the movie that is voted best by the industry's top people will be shown in the United Nations!! How awesome is that?
The theme my sister picked was
"Stop Violence Against Women." It would be about acid attacks, domestic abuse and molestation. The way she wrote it ensured no dialogue but the makeup and body language of the actors had to be flawless! At this point I was freaking out because she expected
ME to do this amazing makeup!
So for 2 days all I did was practice on her face because that's how nervous I was. ;A;
I won't bore you with the extra details, lets just get to pictures!! We were up and early at 7am packing all my stuff!
My vanity looked less like it was meant for makeup and more like a kid's craft collection!

You can see that this burn makeup looks a lot more realistic than my
Two face makeup. That's because I tried a new technique using jello instead of tissue. :) I mixed in some foundation and food colour to give it that flesh look. I'll do a tutorial on this soon because I know a few people had requested it! ^_^

This was so much fun to do but it really made all of us think what a nightmare being attacked like this would be. I mean makeup can be washed off.. But living like this forever is a scary thought!
Anyway, I hope you liked my gruesome doings. I'll be back with something prettier real soon! Wish my sister and her friends luck on this project. :) I'll put up the video once it's finished!
