An Hour of Bliss! The Four Fountains Spa (Bandra) Review

Hello patient readers! I say patient because I suck at being a regular blogger, don't I? >.<
Today I'll be reviewing something that I've tried for the first time, i.e. a spa treatment! So, let me share with you my journey of a little awkwardness (thanks to being mostly unclothed) and a LOT of bliss (thanks to the awesome full body massage)!

The entrance
About The Four Fountains Spa:
The Four Fountains spa is India's largest chain of affordable health spas. You can get over 20 types of therapies to combat stress, health issues, toxins, aging and many other problems!
You can get massages, body wraps, facials, polishes and other great treatments without breaking the bank!
They have 17 spas in over 8 different cities according to their website but I'm sure the number is even more now. ^_^

So here's my experience at the Bandra branch of the Four Fountains!

On arrival, the first thing I noticed was the lemony smell that wafted out of the place as soon as I opened the door, it immediately put me in a restful state.
They had lovely decor, which was bathed in a mellow yellow light that added greatly to the relaxing atmosphere.
I was greeted by Ajinkya at the reception, we sat down to decide what therapy would be best for me. I took a little quiz that said my stress levels were moderate so he suggested a few therapies but I was still confused! In the end I asked him if they had anything to combat the blistering heat and surprise surprise, they did!

Reception (they also have a salon in the complex)
Ajinkya suggested I try the Summer Splash massage:
It's a Swedish massage that uses aloe vera gel instead of oil and also uses extracts of lemon and mint!
Sounds like heaven in this heat, yes? So of course I decided to go for it!

I was introduced to my masseuse, whose name I've conveniently forgotten, I feel bad about that. >.<
She directed me through a corridor into a massage room that had soothing Oriental music playing and an aromatic candle burning in a corner. She asked me to change into the disposable underwear they had provided and then ring a bell when I was ready for her to come in and start my therapy.

I love the idea of the underwear, it's hygienic and helps me hide my shame lol! But there was a small problem and that is the bit that was awkward... The top piece was basically a long strip of fabric that you tie around your bust and if you're "well endowed" you're not gonna have a good time! It refused to stay on and didn't exactly give the best coverage so remember that if you decide to go! Maybe you can carry your own bra? Sounds like a plan, right?

Anyway, I got past the awkwardness of my partial nudity soon because my masseuse was awesome. Not only was I completely covered in a sheet except where she would be working, she put me completely at ease by dimming the lights down so low you could barely see anything, her magic hands worked their way over so well that soon I was in a state of transcendence!

My feet were first washed with warm water, which felt lovely as it is! The masseuse told me she would start now and finish in an hour. The aloe vera was cool and unlike oil didn't feel greasy and gross, a feeling I despise even with massages! The aroma of the mint sent me off into a sleep like trance. Mmmm..

She started with my legs and worked upwards getting rid of any kinks and knots in my back. Then I turned around for my stomach and shoulders. She also offered me a head massage in the beginning which I declined as the oil tends to strip my hair colour. :( I would have loved to try it though!
She patiently changed pressure wherever I asked and even lowered the AC when the effects of the gel came into effect and I started feeling cold.

Once the hour was up, she washed my feet once more and asked me to get up. I was so giddy from the experience that getting up was a Herculean task for me! Once I managed to do so, the masseuse showed me to the shower and showed me the shampoo and shower gel dispensers and the workings of the hot and cold water, despite which I managed to scald myself good! Lol!

After my hot relaxing shower I changed back and headed back to the reception where I was given my next appointment date, a glass of unsweetened green tea, and a jar of de-stressing balm that my sister has decided to use every night because of her exams and claims it helps her sleep. It's made of aloe vera gel too, so I really like that!

Now time to go back home, still groggy and unable to fully control my leg muscles I walked out and got a cab. Got home and slept like a baby that night! Oh, and the after effects of the mint and lemon lasted a couple of days too! While everyone was sweating buckets, I remained relatively comfortable!

TL;DR? Try the Four Fountains spa if you need to de-stress and feel refreshed, they have a whole menu of therapies at affordable prices but you'll get treated like a queen! I have no complaints about the spa at all except for the size of the disposable "bra".
So do try it! ^_^

Thanks for reading as always! I'm sorry my camera quality isn't the best in dim light but I hope you enjoyed anyway.

My therapy at the spa was complimentary but my opinion is honest and my own.

Landbis Perfect Liner (Born Pretty Store) Review

One of the more important things to have great eye makeup is a gel liner, you get the same definition and depth of liquid liner but with more control and precision, especially if you have shaky hands.
There are many great brands out there, MAC Blacktrack is especially popular but if you want something cheaper, especially if you're a newbie who wants to practice or don't use makeup that often,
Landbis' liner from Born Pretty Store might be a better option!

Price:
3.70$

Packaging:

This gel liner comes in a plastic box and also includes a small angled liner brush, which is great for traveling! The liner itself comes in a cute little pot, not unlike the Maybelline or MAC liners, but instead of being heavy glass, this one is a very light weight plastic! ^_^

The lid has a pretty rose print and writing on it, all in pink.
The brush that comes with it is travel size, but I found it to be even better than Maybelline's gel liner brush at drawing thick or very thin lines!

Colour and Texture:

The liner has amazing colour payoff! It's a deep, deep black and barely needs going over.
The texture too, is very good. The finish is like satin, not glossy or very matte, it doesn't accentuate lines on the eyes or cling and dry up.

I remove some on the back of my hand to use and it takes a while to dry up, I have plenty of time to use it, whereas with most other gel liners, I'm constantly removing and using more and more product because it keeps drying up!

Also, I know it says cream liner on the pot,but it really isn't!
Cream liner is not smudge and waterproof, so it needs to be set. This liner is definitely gel considering it doesn't smudge or come off with water!
Plus, I love how it doesn't dry up on my hand but as soon as I apply it, it doesn't budge from my eyelids! >w<

Swatches/ EOTDs:

I didn't do hand swatches but I did a few eye looks to show you how good this stuff is! I used the brush that comes with it for application. ^_^

This is just normal winged liner, if you follow me on Instagram, you must have seen an experiment I did with eyeliner...

Basically from:

 To this:

This was done completely with the Landbis liner and brush!
So you can see how workable both the liner and the brush are!

Performance:
I think it is safe to say I adore this liner and would recommend it to anyone, from beginner to expert! This line has a lovely texture and colour and lasts for hours! Plus at less than 4$ the price is right!~
d(^_^)b Two thumbs up!

You can get this liner and other amazing products at Born Pretty Store! Use my code to get 10% off! :

What's your favourite gel liner? I still have to find mine but this one is definitely a contender. ^_^
Thanks for reading!

Finally Mine! MAC's Party Parrot

These days I'm in a weird spot, I'm trying to get my life together. I'm trying to hunt down photographers to work with so I can build up my portfolio and *hopefully* get hired by someone!

Besides that I'm also trying to build my makeup kit without breaking the bank, so obviously my private makeup stash has taken a back seat and I've been concentrating on using my finances for professional stuff.

But a couple of weeks ago, I made an exception for MAC's Party Parrot. >v<
I missed this beautiful colour when the Iris Apfel collection came out and I've been waiting ever since! So when the Strength collection came out, I ran to MAC!
I actually went on a Mumbai Darshan,  first to the Peddar Road MAC where it was sold out, the really nice MUA there called up Andheri for me and reserved a tube. So sweet! ♥
So then I ran to Andheri (with a disgruntled boyfriend in tow) and FINALLY got my Party Parrot.
Woot Woot!

Anyway, crazy makeup misadventures aside, here's my review! :D

Price:
Rs 990 (Soon to/ already gone up. Damn you MAC! >.< Can't wait to get a PRO card!)

Packaging:
Nothing special, the usual black and silver bullet.

 Colour:
Party Parrot is a pinky red shade, super vibrant! It has a nice warm undertone that brightens up my face. I've seen it look much more coral on some people, especially paler women. But on me it is definitely a crazy ass pink! I love it! I'm glad it looks different on me because if it had been coral-ish, I would have probably been pretty disappointed, considering I waited so long for it!
Even though it brightens up my face, I must say it makes my teeth look ever so slightly yellow. Nothing serious though. ^_^

If Lady Danger was my, "Come at me bruh" colour, Party Parrot is my, "Get down and party" colour for sure! It gives my mood an instant lift as soon as I put it on.

Texture and Smell:
Like most of my MAC lipsticks, this one too is a matte shade. It is nice and creamy, not drying.
Smell is typical to all MAC lipsticks, vanilla! ^_^

Swatch:

One swipe, 3 swipes, BRIGHT colour! :D
Sorry about the harsh yellow light, the sun was really strong that day!
 Comparison:

Nyx Fire is TOO red, Nyx Matte lipstick in Angel is close but lighter and cooler, Maybelline's Stay With Me Coral is also very close, maybe a pink lipliner under it would bring them closer(?), Wet n Wild's Hot Paris Pink is darker but since it is sheer it looks close enough. :P

In MAC, Impassioned is almost EXACTLY the same! Just that since Party Parrot is matte, it looks much more vibrant. I did want to get Impassioned at a point of time but now that I have Party Parrot, it ain't likely!

Performance:
A great bright colour for summer, that really lifts your spirits and lasts a LONG time!
It lasted through noms and drinks, when I checked my mirror at the end of a long day, the lipstick was gone but the colour was still on, strong!
I have nothing bad to say about this lipstick, NOTHING! Mostly due to the fact that I've waited so long to get my hands on Party Parrot, I'm not going to ruin my excitement by nitpicking!

So, you my friends have been reading a very biased review!
MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!  ψ(`∇´)ψ

Okay, not really, I can't do that to you!
It is a great lipstick, only complaints I have is that since it is a matte lipstick, you need to have well prepped lips. Secondly it makes your teeth a bit yellow. And lastly, LIMITED EDITION!!! Gah!
How I hate those words. ;n;
Oh well, hopefully they'll repromote it soon. But it gets sold out so fast! With reason, but still!!

Anyway, here's a FOTD I did with Party Parrot, yes it is that bright. Yellow light or not. :P

I would definitely buy this lipstick again, and I do urge people to try it when it comes out again!
I swear, as soon as I put it on this starts playing in my head:

Kyaaaa~ YAMAPI. >w<

Well, that's my review, hope I didn't ramble on too long! And I hope you enjoyed it. ^_^
Leave me your thoughts on Party Parrot (or Yamapi, I'm always ready to fangirl.)
If you missed my inconspicuous link to my previous MAC lipstick review, check it out here:

And of course if you need a makeup artist, remember me! Lol!
And forgive my blatant self promotion, that I shall be doing in many posts to come.
Muahahaha! Really.

Thanks for reading!

Circle Lens Review: Wondereye Brown from Pinky Paradise

It's been a long time since I've reviewed circle lenses but they have become a very normal part of my routine now but I still remember when I was in absolute awe of them. So many colours and designs! Normal colour lenses looked so sad and inadequate when compared to them.
Pinky Paradise was the first online store I had heard of that sold circle lenses, it was everywhere! So many blog reviews and giveaways, it's no wonder it is so popular! Plus the site is so cute and easy to use, I couldn't help but go through every design!
That website was my gateway to circle lenses that's why I'm so glad Pinky Paradise kindly sent me a pair of Wondereye Brown lenses to review.
Thank you Pinky Paradise! ^_^

This is the first time I'm trying G&G (Dueba) lenses, so far I really like them!

Brand:  G&G
Price: $ 22.90
Water content: 38
Diameter: 14.5 mm
Base curve: 8.6 mm
Prescription available:  0 to -8.00
Expiry: 1 year disposable (3 years if unopened)
Place of Origin: Korea
The Wondereye series comes in 6 colours and the design closely resembles the ever popular Super Nudy series.
I wanted to put up a picture of how everything arrived but customs held my package for a long long time and crushed it up bad. >.<
AND I had to pay them for handling the package. WTF?
Luckily though, the product inside the envelope was not damaged in the least.
The envelope was thick and bubble wrapped, as were the vials. They were wrapped in three layers of foam! Very impressive packing!
Here's what was inside the package:

The two vials of lenses, a very cute yellow bear animal case (I LOVE THEM!) and a free gift. A fringe-holder-backer... Yeah, don'tknow what it's called but it's very useful!

Natural Light
With Flash
One in, one out

Design: ♥♥♥♥♥
The Wondereye design is VERY similar to the ever popular Super Nudy design (every brand has their own Super Nudy because of how popular it is!) It has the lovely halo you get with translucent lenses. Which I love! Makes me feel all anime like. >w<
I actually like it better than the Geo Super Nudy, the Geo ones have a black ring whereas this design has a dark brown one that makes it look slightly more natural.  I'll be reviewing the Geo ones too, in grey soon.
I like how the design is speckly but not reptilian.  Sometimes these brands go OTT with the speckled colour and you end up with lizard eyes. -__-

Comfort: ♥♥♥♥♥
I got excellent comfort with these lenses. Even after long hours of wearing them, they didn't dry out or get uncomfortable. I've worn them for a maximum of 6-7 hours and I actually forgot I had lenses on! Lol!
One of the comfiest lenses I've tried.

Enlargement: ♥♥♥♥
All these circle lenses make me think my irises are super tiny! These did too but the enlargement was not crazy. It was a good size, I know because my eyes looked big and sparkly but not coked out. :D
I don't like lenses that are too big! These were perfect! ^_^

Overall:
I find these lenses are perfect for my fellow brown eyed boys and girls who want to add more dimension to their eyes than normal coloured lenses. The design and comfort are perfect for everyday use. They add the right amount of oomph to boring brown eyes. :)

If you would like to buy The Wondereye brown lenses or want to find a pair meant for you, go on over to Pinky Paradise!
You can even use my code:
beautyandthecheap

The code is for a cute animal case an a free gift!
You can stack the code too, buy 3 pairs and you are entitled to 3 free gifts and cases. ^_^

So, what do you think about this design? Would you try it?
As always, thanks for reading!
