ALL the things! One Post!

I don't know what to post today but I feel like posting! I don't know! Lol! Just bear with me. :D I had a trip to the dentist today and he gave me power chains so I need to take my mind off the PAIN! That story for another day though.. Today, I'll share with you a bit about what I did this week. :D

My sister took part in a Facebook contest by Korea Tourism and won some really cute stuff! She got a goodie bag with a notepad, guide, a pretty fan and a bunch of other stuff! ^_^

I LOVE the fan! It's beautiful and you can use it! :D

Yesterday, my sister had an appointment for a Rs.300 hair cut at Toni & Guy! DAT CHEAP right?! They're one of Sophia college's festival sponsors and were offering cheap hair cuts and colour to college students. :) The salon is in such a posh area! The whole thing looks like an ode to capitalism! All the retail outlets! @_@

So from there we went to OVS and they were having a sale so I picked myself up some cute earrings! ^_^
Both were kinds that I don't have and the mint blue hearts were just calling my name! LOL!

Finally some makeup! I got a new mascara this week.  wanted to buy it for a friend but she needed wash proof and this thing is one step ahead of waterproof! -__-

It's Max Factor's False Lash Effect 24 Hour mascara! I tried it today and OMG CANNOT GET IT OFF! HAALP! Even with oil based remover it is difficult! They mean it when they say 24 hours. D:
It looks amazing though! Will put up a review soon~

I also got Bourjois' Clubbing liquid liner, I got it because it was a very deep black but not shiny when dry, I hope it stays on well. :D

The mascara brush is FAT! Think milkshake straw fat! The bristles are rubber, a first for me! I can't get over how fat though, when I do the review I will show you a comparison with other mascaras. :)

The Bourjois brush on the other hand is thin and is actually a brush! Unlike newer felt ones! YEAH OLD SKOOL! LOL! It is so thin! All my painter friends out there, think a 00 paint brush thin!

My sister and I also hoarded up on Koka noodles! We were looking for Shin Ramyun but it was out of stock. This is the next best thing! Seafood flavour, Laksa Singapura and Tom Yam! OMNOMNOM!

And at last! My blog sale was a huge success! Thank you all who bought stuff! I'll be shipping almost everyone's packages tomorrow! Look at mah awesum packing skillz! :P

Independence Day Look: Tricolour Dreams

Usually, I'm a cynical person. I have a lot to bitch about in context to my country. It's too dirty, too corrupt, polluted and populated... Sure! But this is one of the days of the year I'm just going to shut up and be happy I live here. It might not be a perfect country but it is MY country.

What's In My Mail? China Glaze, Bourjois and Lenses!

I hope everybody had a great weekend, mine was not so great! I've come down with a nasty cold and so has my boyfriend. -__- I was supposed to get my braces put in *gulp* but my orthodontist is ill too.. I joined the gym but since I'm ill the lady told me to come in from Wednesday. *Sobs* So I was just sitting at home watching Mary Kom fight her way through to quarter finals! WOOHOO! And India get their butt kicked by Korea in hockey... Oh, the irony. >.>

Anyway, There were times when I felt better of course. When the mail came in on Friday and today! I love packages in the mails! Squeee!

First was a very important package, one from my secret "fraand". We have a group on FB and we had a secret Santa like thing for Friendship Day. :D
My friend was Deepika from Divassence. She sent me over a couple of really cute polishes!

The China Glaze shade is Flyin' High, she wanted to get me For Audrey which was on my wish list but it was unavailable, I love this one anyway! :D It's a pretty tealish bright blue! I've done a mani with it already and I'll be putting it up today!
The Elle 18 shade is a colour I would have never tried on my own but the more I look at it, the more I like it! ♥

Then came a pair of lenses from Uniqso! Yay! These had been in postal purgatory for a month now! But battered and bruised, my package was finally here!

I'm not going to show you the design, you'll have to wait for the review! Cuz I'm mean like that! LOL! Just look at the box's cuteness!

Then today came something I've been waiting for a while! It's not very fascinating. Just foundation but my first Bourjois foundation! The 123 perfect foundation. :D I had tried a sample of this and knew I needed it! Lovely stuff.. My shade is 53. And it is a perfect match. ♥

Back from the Dead with a Haul and FOTD!

Hi everyone! My work is fnally done, you cannot imagine how happy I am! I can finally eat, sleep and blog! And wear makeup!! I was so tired I slept for 18 hours straight after I was done with work! Then yesterday, I went outdoors! :D OHMYGOD! YAY! 

Yup, I went outdoors! I went to Palladium to be exact, it was a spur of the moment thing and a nice place to go in the rain.. I.e. Absolutely empty! Haha!

I decided to reward myself and FINALLY after years of contemplation go into MAC. I thought I would pick up a lipstick, but all the shades I wanted were gone. -__- I ended up just buying the brush cleanser..

What a poopy first visit! Oh well, next time! The girls there were really nice, one of them even wanted me to do her hair colour LOL! I've never tried it on anyone but me, so I don't think I'll be complying. I'm too scared, I'll mess it up!

Another thing, I asked to get my shade matched and she said NC 42.. In the store, it looked fine but when my boyfriend saw it, and then my sister too, both their reaction were OMG! YELLOW! And my sister said it looked orange too.. And muddy! >.< So, I still don' know what my colour is! *sigh*
SOMEBODY GUESS PLEASE! LOL!

Then I went to Accessorize, because sale.
I wanted to pick up a few trinkets, no bags and things, I have too many now! >.>

I picked up this set of studs for my ears, I have 7 ear piercings in total and I need studs for them all the time!

I also picked up a couple of rings, there was a cute bow one but my fingers are too fat for it. T^T

I got these earrings for my sister, she loves tea! LOL!

That was probably my cutest haul ever! Hehe..

Now for my FOTD! I've changed my hair colour yet again! I also got new circle lenses! More on them later but this is what I looked like yesterday! My boyfriend thinks I've become paler.. i think it is the lack of sunlight! >.<

Sparkle Sparkle~ Faces Sparkle Dust- 256 "Frolic" Review

Hi all! Today I'm going to be reviewing something very pretty! Oh so pretty~~ *Ahem* Yes.. It's the Faces Sparkledust Stackable in Frolic.

I've always wanted to try pigments but I didn't want to spend a lot on something like MAC Melon (which I really want! ;n;) just to realise i would never use it.. So I decided to buy some inexpensive pigments, see what I feel about them and then get more. So I decided to buy one of the Faces Stackable Sparkledusts. You get these in individul jars too but I wanted some variety. LOL!

Facts about Faces: Faces is a brand from Canada, they were established in 1974 and their pricing is amazing! Took them long enough to come to India. -__-

Price: These are around 549 INR but I got them for 466 in Beauty center Khar.

Packaging: The entire package looks like this.

You can get these in sets of 5 or 8.
The packaging is nice but I feel like the plastic is too flimsy and brittle. So, i'm always afraid that it's gonna break. :/
I like that being a stack, its easy to carry and all that but it is annoying to screw and unscrew each jar, plus there are more chances of it falling, considering the high center of gravity. *adjusts faux geek glasses*

 The jars aren't big, they probably hold one and a half teaspoon of pigment, but I like the fact that they are small. Otherwise you get a huge jar and it never gets over!

The Colours: The pigments are VERY shimmery, each and every one of them! I'm not a fan of shimmer but I don't mind it here and there. Problem is when you want to use them dry, they cause a lot of fallout (as all pigments would.) So even if you clean them off, a bit of the shimmer remains. >.<
You have to wear your foundation aftr you use these or use a tissue for fallout.

The colours look brilliant used wet although I find the green and blue a bit too similar. There are quite a few of these sets and they all have some colours that coincide, so search a bit and find ones with unique colours.

Red: Has gold shimmers, very dark

Has blue(ish) shimmers, not my favourite!

Pink: my favourite! Has purple and pink shimmer

Blue/ Teal: Another favourite! has gold shimmer, gives it a multidimensional quality.

White duochrome: Shines pink and gold according to the light.

I used the white in the inner corner, blue in the center and pink on the outer v. I also used NYC jumbo pencil in Milk, Bourjois Clubbing Contour pencil in "Blue Remix" ♥ and Colossal kajal an mascara. :3

Overall:
I feel that this is a good buy for someone who wants to try pigments like I did. I just wish the plastic was less brittle and they had a few no shimmer colours, but then they really wouldn't be "sparkle dust." As I said, I'm not big on the shimmer. LOL!

A Little Food and Shopping is Good for the Soul ♥

My sister and I went out today, we decided to go to town (South Bombay) and just relax, we went to Theobroma, an amazing cafe! They have this thing called a "Bacon Butty", it's basically a huge burger filled with garlic mayo, fries and bacon.. Mmmm.. It's so good! You'll forget all your worries in a bite! LOL! I don't recommend it to people with high cholesterol though, it's like asking for a triple bypass! Then I had the New York Cheesecake and my sister had an "Adult" hot chocolate, basically hot chocolate with a hit of Irish cream.. So goooood..
I wish I had taken pictures but we scarfed it down so fast, all I would have gotten would have been clean plates! ;)

Then we walked our way to the Westside at Kala Ghoda, I wanted to pick up some bangles I had seen there a few weeks ago, I was hoping they were still there! They were! Yay!

Aren't they cute? I love the one with the pearls and the fabric one with the flowers, they look so vintage! The blue one really adds some cheery colour, don't you think? :)
I got them for Rs.345 at Westside.. Or was it 400? Well, something around that.. I know you get cheaper ones at Causeway but they never last with me! :(

Yes My No Buying Ban is still ON! I needed concealer, if I need something, it is allowed! LOL! My old Diana of London concealer was being a bitch. It decided to leak onto my other cosmetics and I was left with goopy makeup and no concealer! GAH!

So I picked this up while I was there, I have heard a lot of nice things about the foundation, so why not? They had an illuminating version too but it seemed pretty meh.. My shade was "53". Sadly they have only 3 shades and the other two were lighter than this! This one is good for fair-medium skin. I can hear another "Boo!" from my dark skinned friends. :(

The SA gave me two samples of a new foundation they're launching, 123 Perfect, it is colour correcting apparently. Can't wait to give them a go! They've never given me samples before, this was something new for me!

The concealer was Rs.460 but I'm sure you'll get it cheaper online. Don't bother if you're darker than 30-35ish in complexion, it'll be way too light! And they call it Dark Radiance! *rolls eyes*

The Great Find!

With blogging, freelancing and being scatter brained in general, I thought I'd pick up a diary to write down what to do in the day from the small stall next to Westside, my mum used to buy a lot of paper from him, his rates are great! :)
I found this beauty! A Letts of London diary! These are very rare here, that's why I'm happy... I'm not crazy, I swear! :D
It's a pocket diary, it looks big in the photo according to the sibling. The best thing about it was the price! LOL!
Original price: Rs 375. What I payed: Rs.50! YAY!

Ugh.. My name is Nisha and I'm a cosmetoholic.. Sigh.. Seriously guys, I have a problem. ;A;
I realised, all the stuff I got just in the last week amounts to so much that most women would probably consider having JUST that much a normal amount of makeup.. But then I guess I spend my money so you don't have to spend yours! LOL! Not a good save.. >_<

First, I went to Beauty Center, I went alone and went a little crazy, I think if I had some voice of reason along with me, my wallet would have been happier.. I had actually gone just to pick up stuff for my giveaway. Argh!

• Jordana Extra Garlic Basecoat- My nails have been yellowing due to a lack of base coat, so I picked this up. No, it doesn't smell of garlic.. LOL! Can you imagine that?
• NYX Girls Polish "Frizz Spots"- I love this shade! It's holo hex and small glitters in a black jelly base. HOW I CAN SAY NO? ;A;
• Colorbar Exclusive polish (white)- I needed a GOOD white nail polish, all the ones I get seem to have the smell and consistency of pen corrector white ink.  -__-
• Faces Stackable Pigments "Frolic"- Total impluse buy, I just wanted to try pigments. *sigh* At least they're good! I used these here and here.
• VOV pigment "shimmery black?"- Also on impluse! It was 75 Rupees ok? You say no. :P
• NYX Cream Blush "Natural"- I just happened to love the way this blended and looked. :D
• NYX long eye pencil "Blue"- This was a free gift at the NYX counter. :)

Btw, Beauty Center has The NYX Extreme Lipcreams for just 380! Can you believe that? I wonder why the Matte Lip creams were 600?? I didn't buy any though.. I'm surprised I didn't buy any lipstick this time! LOL!

Then I went to this other place, I forget the name.. i think it's called Beauty Forever? It's a shop on Pali Market road, if anyone knows the name please tell me. I forgot kekeke... 

They have China Glaze polishes and they sell them for at least 100-150 Rs less than what you see on sites. :D

• Vega eyeshadow blender brush and blush brush- I actually planned to get brushes from The Body hop but with all the spending I had been doing I decided to stick with these. As you know I have a total of 3 brushes, these two make it five. :D I'm glad I got these, they seem to be pretty damn good!
• China Glaze polish "Yellow Polka Dot Bikini"- I loved this colour! At first sight, I fell for it while it was searing its image into my retinas! I used it already for this Monday manicure.
• HipHop nail polish remover pads- I picked them up out of curiosity. I love that they give tweezers with them. :D

This was just some stuff I bought online, I got the Nivea Refreshing Cleansing Milk for makeup removal, the one I had before was barely half empty but I had to throw it away because it had crossed the expiry date. :(
I wanted to get Colorbar's Peachy Rose blush asap, I think they will be discontinued soon, I didn't see any at Beauty Center. :( Just some VERY expensive lip pencils!
The Bourjois Ombre Stretch Eyeshadow I picked up because I really wanted a blue like that. So pretty! I was surprised by the size though, it always looks so big in pictures! LOL!

My best friend was sweet enough to buy me this Maybelline stuff from the USA. I had asked her for The Dream Bouncy Blush in Coral Candy and Baby Lips lipbalm in Cherry Me! I can't wait to review these! :D

I walked into The Body Shop a few days ago with le boyfriend. I wasn't going to pick up anything but I was pretty impressed by this Oil Free Balancing Foundation. I got it in 05. I got my exact shade thanks to the boyfriend, otherwise I would have walked out with a 04 (too light) or a 06 (too orange).. Even the SA was a guy and he said 05. LOL! Men are good at this! What really throws me off personally is yellow lighting!

WHY DO MAKEUP STORES HAVE YELLOW LIGHTING?? It defeats the purpose of getting the right shade of anything! Grrrr.. *grits teeth* At least I got this right. -__-

Anyway, so that was my haul post! Tell me i you've tried any of these products, are there any you want to try? Does yellow lighting make you angry too?? LOL! Tell me I'm not the only one please! :D
